What's odd is that this is still mostly the exact same viewing periods they've had in previous years. The beat guys are giving some more input into what they saw and a little more detail, but we aren't really watching things they didn't have the past few years, they are just providing longer clips now. I think it shows either how lazy they were or maybe how much they were trying to bait subscriptions or something.

Maybe we're trying to install a little more confidence in Arnold.

It's been a couple weeks since this was alluded to: link
quote:

While in most cases, you'd want a player to build themselves up organically, this comment shows that Arnold is still overcoming his issues from Norman. As he expressed during media day, once things started to go south at Oklahoma, Arnold frequently received messages encouraging him to take his own life.
And since we don't usually offer too much preseason, I'm wondering if Hugh might be rallying the troops a bit more publicly to help massage some ego.

Eh maybe, but I think people probably read way too much into that comment. That is something that happens pretty much everywhere, you just don't hear a coach say it. Playing devil's advocate, having your coach say that probably wouldn't be great for your confidence either . I just think it has been so long since we've had a coach that actually says things that are actually happening and not just coaching platitudes, that people don't know how to react anymore.

We cant still be easing into Arnold's confidence at this point. Dave Aranda will exotic blitz him and wants to hear this.

Is Cole Cubelic talking about what he saw/heard from Spring? That’s a way different story than if he’s talking about fall camp.

He was yea, but Hugh also said going into Fall that it was something they were still working on. With a new QB in a new system though, that is normal. Not saying JA still isn't having issues from last year, but by all accounts so far he has been playing very well. Sounded like Freeze also had to talk with him about not being as greedy in the RPO game, so that sounds promising

Justin Ferguson said this is the most access they’ve ever had. They’ve had a few full practices this fall and he said the one practice they didn’t see, Freeze gave them a full recap

Also said that switching player interviews to catch guys right off the field has increased how many guys they can speak to

Interesting, then I stand corrected.

he did say, to your point, it’s led to a lot of new subscribers apparently

Either way, it’s good for us at least

I figured it would. Their past schtick of being super close to the vest with the info they share to their subscribers I think turns way too many off from it. Show you will continuously bring good content and people will subscribe, even if a lot of the content is free to all.

Sadly my first thought is that freeze needs media allies if things go off the rails this year

From a few of the player interviews they have said the front 7 has thrown every blitz package imaginable at the offense

this is the one thing about Freezus that i like

as much money is controlling things in the sport these days, and as much as we pay these guys to run the program, i feel its incumbent upon them to give us reasonably accurate reports on how things are going

and to his credit, Freezus seems to be a pretty forthright about the team’s progress, or even lack of same

if only he could learn to manage the actual game decisions i might have reasons to believe again

So we had another player busted? Don't have a link, but WJOX reporting freshman TE Hollis Davidson was arrested for weed in GA on July 28.

Never made it to camp and has been suspended. So that's three players in preseason to get arrested.

So fricking dumb. Had a delta 9 vape and some shake apparently.

Was end of the month though...guess the cops needed to make quota.

Fairly sure he was at preseason camp, there have been reports of him at practice, just limited with an injury.

I really don't understand the need to do these things in the areas these guys are doing them. You can't just do it at home? Why the obsession with doing it in your car and in public?

Just relaying what JOX said.

Crazy thing is JOX said he was contacted for loitering near a closed business and tried to hide whatever he had in a golf cart that was parked nearby.

If that's true...
