Poor ‘ol’ Jett got the hook quick with his control issues tonight.

We already won our season opening series against Vandy.

Good come back but gotta close it down in the B9

Been drinking. Was supposed to be “series” opening.

Can’t help but laugh at UK fricking up a basic pop-up.

I like that it’s Parker on the mound. He can slam the door.

Another good series opening win. I’ll absolutely take that. If we take the two opening series I feel a LOT better about hosting come tournament time.

fricking clutch. I was worried with the pitching but our hitting got us out of the bind.

Need this year to be good after last year’s tragedy lol. We clearly still have some problems but we are competing.

Samuel Dutton has been awesome so far. Maybe not getting as deep in the game as you would like for your Friday starter but he’s keeping us in games. I told his Dad Gary to send Samuel to AU even tho they were big Bama fans because Butch would help him develop a couple more pitches. So far he’s added 1 more pitch and has made a huge difference for him. Samuel got involved after the 14u Team USA with a travel team out of Louisiana and LSU came with a strong arse offer lol so he went to LSU. Glad to have my friends and pupils back in state.

Wasn’t aware Slate Alford was at UGa either. The talent that has made it out of state is ridiculous. Pico Kohn from Clanton was the most dominant high school pitcher I’ve ever seen. He went to Miss State. Not sure how he developed there.

Another thing not sure how much batting practice Samuel had take. Since going to LSU but he could absolutely smash coming up through high school. Andrew a back up middle infield and his brother on the team lead the state in hitting his Sr season so maybe he will get some at bats. The Dutton brothers were separated by 2 years in age but only 1 year and grade and Samuel always played up 2 age groups growing up and was still the best if not one of the best on any team he played on. Their Dad and I are cousins. He played at Bham Southern and I played at Montevallo. I played high school at Vincent he played at Leeds. We would kill Leeds lol. Probably still do. Vincent is a small school powerhouse in baseball

Happy for you and the Duttons. I was very skeptical after watching him at LSU regardless of his HS success. Here’s to more success in 2025!

We got some stud freshman and hope those boys and the Sophs keep growing

He needed that 1 extra pitch. Now he needs to add 1 more to fully unlock his potential. Doubt he’s ever a 97 mph guy but low 90’s with 4 pitches can be extremely effective at any level. Not sure what the 4th pitch will be. But now he’s throwing the fastball, change, and curve. Maybe a cut fastball would be a good pitch to add to run in on lefties and away from righties. Probably would be most effective against lefties

Went to the bottom of 9th with a 4 run lead and let it get tied up. Headed to extra innings. 7-7

Irish hits a solo dinger in the 11th to give the Tigers a 8-7 win.

Was outside and could not get the app to play the audio but apparently the last out was an attempt to steal home by KY.
