Our pitching right now is fairly consistent with past Butch teams. One stud (Gonzo who is hurt) and a bunch of talented pieces with 2 or 3 on right now. This may be the best group of pieces I've seen us have. Just got to get 5 or 6 on in any given weekend and we will be tough to take a series from.

Caldwell: Joseph Gonzalez. He has been cleared to throw and is expected to get back on the mound Tuesday. With Auburn wanting to get at least two bullpen appearances with him before getting back in a game, it’s doubtful he pitches this week. That would mean his next appearance could be at Arkansas in the SEC opener in two weeks.

Vail gets pulled after 5.2 no hit ball. Hit his pitch limit and walked the last 2 guys.

he is getting stronger. He has looked sharp every time I have seen him. His problem is........when he hits the wall, it's immediate and very noticeable. It was nice watching him get ahead of batter after batter last night. That is my biggest problem with our staff as a whole. We pitch from behind a lot. Good sticks will feast on that.
