Is he? Didn’t see. Anyone else?
According to 247:
Auburn also saw third baseman Gavin Miller, pitcher Cameron Keshock, outfielder Kaleb Freeman, pitcher Trevor Horne, outfielder Alex Wade and second baseman Ty Mauldin enter the portal as it opened up on Monday.

Probably will be more. The roster needs turnover. I’m not mad about it.
I think Tyler Mauldin is wanting to coach when he is done so going to a smaller school and playing under another coach may help his future. He will have played under 3 head coaches in college that’s good to have different approaches to the game from different coaches because if he goes into high school coaching like his dad you have to manage your team with the players you have. (Well let me take that back in most instances but now you have teams poaching from other local programs)

Got decent looking portal guys. The USF SS looks really good. We needed to fix our MIF, power a hitting and P

I think Green could be a really good 2nd basemen defensively if they would leave him there. Also think he has the ability to be a good 7 or 9 hitter if given consistent opportunities. He’s probably not gonna hit .330 or anything but think he could be a good solid .270ish hitter that is a good bunt guy.
I kind of checked out but SS seemed to definitely be a weak spot. Didn’t make a ton of errors but also didn’t get to many balls either. Need someone with some range.
Irish doesn’t need to be behind the plate and was glad to see him in right field late in the season. I think he’s a corner outfielder in pro ball in my mind more then likely a LF but those guys at that level know more then me.

Correct on SS. Agree with Ike. They think we have a chance to have McMurray return which would be huge

I swear this transfer news happens in the middle of the night. I'm now seeing two more are on board.
Lucas Steele
Transferring from Samford, Steele is a multi-talented switch hitter with the ability to play catcher and outfield. After two seasons with the Bulldogs, his career batting average is .280 with 29 home runs and 112 runs batted in.
Eric Snow
Former USF infielder Eric Snow from Forsyth, Georgia. Snow started 55 of 56 games with the Bulls as a freshman and 43 of 46 games last season in which he batted .258 with nine doubles, one home run, 19 runs batted in and 21 runs scored.

From games this week it’s quite obvious - hit bombs! Got to have guys who can hit bombs and play some D. Kentucky is the exception to the rule but they can hit.

Tigers get the Dutton brothers.
“Butch Thompson and the Auburn Tigers added a huge addition on Friday when LSU RHP Sam Dutton committed after taking a visit last week. A 5-11, 200 junior originally from Westbrook Christian, Dutton has pitched in 57 career games at LSU and comes in with a 1-3 record and an ERA of 6.02 in 86.2 innings.”
“Andrew Dutton also committing to play his last season at Auburn. In four seasons at Birmingham-Southern, Dutton had a career average of .340 with 12 home runs and 36 doubles.”

I know the Dutton’s. Hell me and their dad are distant cousins and we coached the boys together when they were young.
Samuel is the younger and better player. Never thought he should have been a pitcher only. Dude could absolutely rake. He has had a meh career at LSU.
Andrew is older and is extremely fundamentally sound. Led the state in hitting his senior season.
Both are great young men and will be great representatives of Auburn. Samuel has all the talent in the world and think having his brother around will help him mentally. Not that there is an issue but they are so close in age they grew up almost like twins.
(Side note - they are also first cousins on their mom’s side of the family with the Quick brothers from Trussville. Riley is the big dude, pitcher at Bama, that shut us down last fall in the scrimmage before getting injured. His brother was the 5 star OT that never cracked the lineup at Bama and transferred to GT)

We need to move on from the state connections and look outside

I don’t disagree with you but these are solid pickups when you are probably going to need 20 players.
On paper last season our roster looked good just never played good together.
Samuel on last years team would have been a weekend starter for us.

Mix some water with whatever you’re drinking. He has stunk for two years, can’t throw strikes.
Ga and others are doing well in the portal and we r falling behind.

I didn’t bring them to Auburn. Butch did.
They are now Auburn Tigers so fair game to shite on them. As I keep saying no one hate Auburn players like Auburn fans.

Also these kids I am very good friends with their parents. Blood related as well.
So getting me to shite on the Dutton’s will never happen.
Put it this way my mom was a Brasher, Gary (the Dutton boys father) his mom was as a Brasher. Gary’s grandmother lived about a 1/2 mile from my house growing up. Gary played at Leeds, I played at Vincent. I’m a year older. He played at Bham Southern I played at Montevallo.
So let’s see what happens. Bet you aren’t saying the same shite at the end of next season

it’s a weak move by Butch and he has to do better to compete with the Teams we r watching this weekend. Great for your fam but he should not be here.
He complains about not having SEC quality P’s then does this.
