Outside of the one inning, AU was not very good. 15 strike outs.

This looks like it’s going to be a long season.

Yes. We shouldn’t expect to win a “Friday” game just because we don’t have an ace, but we should be winning the Sat and Sun ones with our hitting.

Problem is P is so depleted by Sun we cannot hold opponents to 10 runs or less. Sad!

Down 3-0 after top of one, AU jumps out to an early lead after the bottom half. McMurray drove in 3 with a bomb to right, Stanfield put another across with a single and Carter Wright (yes, no LaRue) singled to bring the 5th run across.

Nothing doing for either team in the 2nd. 5-3

Vail gets the start.

3rd Inning
Ags single, fly out, single and ground out into dbl play.

Auburn, Ware leads off with a dbl in the left center gap. McMurray walks and we have a pitching change.

Howell beats out the dbl play to put runners on the corners with 1 out.

Ware scores and Howell gets to 2nd on wild pitch. 6-3

Stanfield dbl scores Howell. 7-3

Stanfeild gets to 3rd on mishandled pitch.

Carter Wright sac fly. 8-3

4th inning
Ags with a lead off dbl. Homer to right. 8-5

After a fly out and walk. Vail is done, Herberholz in.

Herberholz gets the dbl play to end the top half.

Tigers - strike out, ground out and bobble by 2nd basemen to put Irish on 1st.

Ware ground out to end the inning.

I'm about to be out for the day. Y'all please pull'em through for at least one W today

I’ll take the dub. But man our pitching is really disappointing considering this is usually Butch’s focus.

12 hits and 13 walks but we pull out the W. Not sure we have any one left for the next one

I have noticed that also.

Our new pitching coach came in highly regarded........but so did Derek Mason.
