If you’re putting up 8 plus runs and losing 20-8 that is pitching.

Location location location. It’s all about hitting your spots consistently as a pitcher. And stop working from behind on the count. You open up 2-0 on a pitch count to a batter is like taking a 8 yard sack on first down in football. It gets much tougher

And what did Chase throw today 2 pitches and reached for his side? We needed him to step up this season. He’s to worried about hanging out at night. I don’t know this as a fact but pretty sure he got his arse whipped out at a bar this week as well. I’ll get confirmation on that

I have a couple guys this year that can run it about 90 consistently and their era is around 3.20 and 3.90.

Got a little lefty that can throw 60 pitches but can go
Through the lineup 1 time and has given me about 23 innings this season and his era is .815. He’s given up 2 runs and 3 hits all year. He tops out at 76 but fills the zone up and don’t walk people

Really look at it like this. We were 5 innings from Winning the series at UF.. that’s as simple as just having a healthy Gonzo. Not panicking yet as we’ve played two of the best away from home.

He has had one decent outing this year. I’m very close to chase so I want the best for him.

Haven’t heard an update on Gonzalez.

UAB tonight…Rough start. Copeland doesn’t even last through the first, allows 4. Carlson came in. AU scratches out 1 in the 3rd. Down 1-4.

Auburn puts 3 up in the 4th on a LaRue rbi and 2 rbi by Foster. 4-4.

Butch taking a page from Dunn, new pitcher every inning. Horne in the 3rd. Bauman will pitch in the 4th.

Scratch the Bauman in, Horne is back out for the bottom of 4.

2 outs in the 4th, nobody on for UAB and Horne is out and Sheehan is in. Sheehan gets the k to end the inning.

Headed to the 6th, still tied 4-4.

Nothing for AU.

Sheehan out and strap in, Allsup is in.

And Allsup throws the ball away on a easy come backer to put the first batter on.

LaRue bails him out on a throw out behind the runner.

And Allsup promptly gives up a single. Now a stolen base. Wild pitch puts runner on 3rd.

Allsup gets a K and a fly out to center to end the 6th.

7th inning. Green doubles and Pierce singles to put runners on the corners with 1 out.

Irish sac fly rbi. AU 5-4. 2 outs.

Ware grounds out.

Allsup is out and Herberholz is in. Lead off dbl. Wild pitch, runner at 3rd, walk and runners at the corners no outs.

Gets the K for first out then gives up a bunt single to score a run and put runners on 1st and 2nd. 5-5.

Fly out moves runners to corners, 2 outs.

Ground out to Ware to end inning.

5-5 headed to 8th.
