Gunner’s weekly PFF grades last season

I read somewhere that his avg. PFF grade was like 5.5 points higher than our highest rated OL last year.

Beachbum not sure that breakdown is accurate fully. We expect some attrition as well.

Examples are TJ and Calzada are they listed as being on the roster?

The number is 100% fluid. I’m just trying to provide the most updated numbers that we currently have.

TJ is on the roster only because he’s not in the portal officially. Calzada is not on the roster because he is in the portal. The article I linked did have a roster breakdown but I don’t know why it’s not there now.

Here’s the same article with the breakdown.

Reading back through the past 10 pages, the only thing that stuck out was the guy saying Harsin did better in the portal lol. What a genius. We riding.

He’s right, but he’s comparing 2 years to 3 weeks

Harsin basically started recruiting this time 2 years ago and as Meta pointed out, his first transfers trickled in around this time and it was only 2-3.

It was also a weird time because the portal was relatively new and the Covid restrictions made recruiting awkward. I point those things out to caution anyone comparing the two situations, especially now

TJ Finley supposedly in Columbus. Is he just driving through?

Can’t imagine the Ohio St being interested in him.

And it’s worth mentioning that regardless of commitments, Freeze is getting guys we need on campus and Harsin didn’t. One OL transfer that auburn missed on told KN that Harsin called him and talked his ears off but made it clear (without saying it) that Harsin knew nothing about him. That guy didn’t even bother visiting

Just two totally different recruiters

I think Spencer Sanders will eventually get a serious look.

Haskins talked a good game but never did anything he said he would do. All hat and no cattle.

Let me give you 25 packs of M&M’s

Now let’s give your hippie neighbor 1 randomly selected pack of M&Ms

You end up with 6 red M&Ms
Your neighbor ended up with 5 red M&M’s

Jones : ”lissen neighbor, I have 6. I win.“ and just to rub it in your neighbor’s face some more you yelled “Harsin Rules!!!”

I have compared him to Cardale Jones a couple times before.

One of the first things I found irritating about Harsin was how much he talked without saying anything

Michigan transfer LB Deuce Spurlock is visiting UF. I think Auburn still has a shot if he doesn’t commit on the visit

Spurlock basically said Florida was his dream and favorite school. You can kiss that one goodbye

All coaches have their own coach speak Freeze takes on a Sunday night service version. Gus used as few words as possible. Steele was downright hostile

It wasn’t Joe Kines hostile. Steele is a well learned man.

At one point Steele went over a year without talking to the press and the first time he did, he opened with suggesting they write whatever they want because that’s what they do anyway

It was more passive aggressive than anything but it really set the tone. Then on ESD when he thought he might be getting the HC job, he was downright folksy

I always assumed that he just didn’t like talking to the media and Gus was more than happy not to make him available but I wonder if Gus made him unavailable because he was a wildcard

Purdue transfer DL Lawrence Johnson:

quote:

“It was great,” he said. “You could tell there’s a family vibe here. Coach Garrett and the rest of them, they’re just honest. They just don’t tell you what you want to hear, they tell you what you need to hear. You could tell by meeting with them and sitting down with them that they just want the best out of you.”
