we need to hire some recruiters

Seems like it. I know relationships and all, but other first year coaches haven’t had this much problems at lesser programs.

Florida just fired their DC.. I wonder if we try to talk to EJ Lightsey again. We are desperate for a LB right now.

Auburn should’ve already taken advantage of the turmoil in LSU, Clemson, and others. Jones thinks there will be some flips happening. Hopefully he’s right.

Maybe this helps with Lightsey but I doubt he committed because of Grantham.

Most importantly, they also fired their OL coach so I hope that helps with Agbo.

I think so. But these are teenagers that we’re talking about

I think Auburn is doing a good job on LSU guys right now. The ones from Louisiana probably still won’t budge but the ones not from LA are up for grabs right now. And I think it helps us with guys like Ausberry

We really don’t have many guys this cycle that Clemson is also recruiting. They don’t have a single commit from Georgia

Man I’m glad they’re sticking to their principles but idk if beggars can be choosers at this point. We need to land some fellas.

There's also the possibility that they completely implode - if you can lose by three TDs to a bad Cocks team nothing is off the table. They may end up canning Merlins and the entire staff after this debacle of a season.

And of course, our biggest competition for FL kids will probably be Gustav

Some quick notes

‘23 5* CB AJ Harris and ‘23 4* DL Tomarrion Parker will be among the prospects expected to be at the Auburn game Saturday

‘22 4* OT Malik Agbo will OV for the game. KN hears that a solid visit would go a long way toward helping Auburn get out front for him. Texas is probably the main completion as of right now

Looks like ‘23 5* CB Jahlil Hurley will be at the MSU game Saturday too

He visited for the first time for Ole Miss and said he was blown away. Wants to make it to games as much as possible

4* LB DeMario Tolan will OV for the Iron Bowl. He’s an LSU commit

KN said a few weeks ago he got the impression that Tolan was pretty open now. He’s not from Louisiana

Auburn offered ‘23 UR OL Vysen Lang from Pike Road

4* on rivals. Guessing he’ll get a high 3*/low 4* initial rating in the composite. He’s getting a lot of offers this fall

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but Damari Alston has been the most vocal player recruiter I can remember recently.

I hope he doesn't come across like some overzealous salesman to these dudes.

I’m not comfortable with the perception this past weekend left as TXAM is not a great team despite what some may try to claim
