From Hoke on Tank

quote:

He’s a little banged up. I’m not sure if he’ll scrimmage today, but I don’t believe it’s anything serious that will keep him out long.

We will hopefully have some good intel in this ultra important scrimmage today

From Hoke
Could be Zach Calzada’s last chance to stay in the race before the opener. ... his fault... only he can change that

Robby Ashford is very much in this race. His speed and mobility is a massive x-factor. (verbatim)

It's Finley to lose.... the race isn’t over.

so today will be important for all three.

That's what my son told me is the rumor on-campus this morning. Then he sent me a pic of Finely riding by him on a stand-up scooter

I don't understand why we bring all of these transfer QBs in and none of them can beat the mediocre starter from last year. This seems like a theme of ours for a long time. I understand building depth behind QB1 but we brought the QBs in to compete for the job and it doesn't seem like it has been that much of a competition, which has me worried unless TJ has made that dramatic of an improvement.

TJ winning the starting job is an Amazon conspiracy. Bezos paid off Camzada to throw the QB competition

i think the intent is for them to beat him, but maybe they just haven't produced enough to do that. i don't think we bring them in just to bring them in. i don't think that any of us expected Calzada or Ashford to be clearly better than TJF in the first place, but i could be wrong about my perception.

There were several here that thought Calzada would be clearly better than TJF. But there was nothing in his stats to support that.

I agree with what your saying but does that mean that we didn't do a good enough job evaluating QBs in the portal?

I mean TJ does have a year in the system so that gives him some advantage here. Will he remain number 1 is the better question.

Calzone gets the first team reps today, so he's taking over down the backstretch. Introducing your national champion QB and undefeated starter, (First Name) Calzada.

The problem is that outside of 1 or 2 players Harsin and company were unsuccessful in the portal. So he had to reach at QB, WR, DL, and LB, this team could win 8 games with an improved Calzada but I don’t want to suffer through watching Finley play 12 games.
