Some nuggets from KN:

Omari Thomas is a name to watch on the DL. Not sure how much of a player AU is but we're definitely a player. Thomas is 6'5 300lbs and plans to announce Jan 4th at the All-American Bowl in TX. He's the #8 DT per 247.

Oregon is a big threat for Junior Collage OT Brenden Coffey. Coffey told 247 recently that AU leads but Oregon is pushing and. Oregon feels they can win him over with their proximity.

4* CB Kendall Dennis could visit AU in late July before he makes his decision in August. Kendall is teammates with AU QB commit Chayill Garnett. AU, Miami, and Tenn are all players.

4* Safety Ladarious Tennison a major AU target is leaning Miami

Bama and UGA are the teams to beat for 5* TE Darnell Washington. AU trying to get an OV

AU leads for 4* TE Jeremiah Pegues 247 has him listed at 6'2 280lbs

We have been asking this question for a decade now.

Best guess is Who else are we doing to send in as the 7th OL when Gus runs the Wildcat for no gain?

Does anyone know when fall practice starts? I googled but couldn’t find 2019 dates.

It's always at the first few days of August. It starts on my birthday very often (August 2nd), like a bday present to me.

Primary role of a tight end is blocking, not catching. And Auburn likes to have these guys for a wide swath of the playbook and they are used for that.

There are three guys on the roster at TE on scholarship:

Shencker - SO
Fromm - FR (I expect him not to RS)
Deal - (knee surgery in December, probably a RS.

Staff wants one TE this class to continue depth there. The right TE that can block at an elite level AND catch will really open up the playbook. We just haven’t gotten many of those types.

Regardless, 4 is not a high scholarship burden for a position that’s relied on to block for a significant percentage of snaps each game. If they continue to develop as pass catchers then we have another weapon on the field. This isn’t hard to understand unless you only equate TEs with catching passes. They’re not WRs

If you keep telling yourself that lies, it will only hurt more when it is not true.

When was the last time we they to a TE? The game against Oklahoma?

You fail to form cohesive sentences and you lack a fundamental understanding of what a TE is.

Sucks to suck, dude.

You should've just quoted his whole post. Incoherent, all of it.

An autocorret slam. You really burned me there. I obviously meant the type threw. You should be able to figure that out from context.

Also you fail to understand the our offense if you think we will ever throw to a TE. We run screens and go routes, nothing over the middle. Hence we will never really make the TE a weapon.

Keith later edited his article to say we are recruiting him as an OL. Thomas says we are the only team recruiting him for O & that's not hurting AU right now.

Jones, KK, & others: Do y'all see him as an OT, OG, or swing guy? There are some O highlights in his JR tape...

I don't know how to feel about that lol. On one hand more OL is always good, but he's the #8 DT and DL recruiting has been pretty slow so far this year... I feel like the #8 DT should probably start out on D.

Jeremiah Pegues is starting to worry me a little with his weight too. 280 is a bit much is that number is true.

I hope we are recruiting him to play at his preferred position. Coax him into a position change later.

Yeah I just read the article and he said he prefers defense... Watching his film you could kind of tell it too. He likes hitting people. Not sure how this pitch is going to work out for us, but I would take him on the roster in a second.

As for OT or G its hard to tell because he's always the biggest and fastest guy on the line.. He looked good on pulling plays to me though (Probably goes back to him liking to hit people). Not sure how he would hold up against fast DE's at OT though.
