KN put up an insider as well this morning
- AU expected to host two big time 2021 QBs in the near future. 4* Jake Garcia from CA is expected to visit AU on March 22nd, stay 2 nights and then visits Tuscaloosa. AU is a team to watch in that recruitment as he grew up a big time AU an and apparently still owns a Cam Newton jersey
- The other QB will be 4* Brock Vandagriff. He too grew up an AU fan due to his mom attending school there. He was thought to be an AU lean last summer but this past season has hurt AU's chances. OK has emerged as a major threat. Coaching stability is his biggest concern with AU. A strong year on the field in 2019 could really help AU's chances
- Apparently 3* RB Kobe Pryor likes Auburn's depth chart and is a big reason why AU leads. He knows there will be competition but feels like due to AU using more backs he would have a role early
- KN had updates on 2 territory changes for AU assistant coaches. Marcus Woodson is now taking over Jacksonville where T-WILL handled things last cycle. T-WILL now has Montgomery which used to be a focus for Kevin Steele
- Supposedly 3* DL Damarjhe Lewis is more firm in his commitment than it may appear as he's actually working hard for AU on some top targets. Says he thinks he's got 4* Will Anderson & is now focusing on 4* Trenton Simpson
- 4* QB Haynes King is AU's top 2020 QB target & continues to say he plans to visit. Just hasn't been able to schedule one yet due to sister's gymnastics schedule. He could be a tough pull due to AU signing Nix last cycle so expect some other names to emerge this spring during evaluation period
- KN says in order AU feels best about these LBs: 3* Desmond Tisdol, 3* Rodney Groce & 4* Phillip Webb. AU still after 4* Demouy Kennedy but they have to get him back on campus which has been difficult so far. AU wants 4 LBs in this class
- Apparently 4* Buck Quandarrius Robinson is very close with his 2 little sisters who are split on AU & BAMA for interesting reasons. Middle sis likes Bama because of food they served at Junior DAy. Youngest likes AU cuz they gave her a lot of attention
- AU REALLY likes 4* LB Jayion McCluster and felt they made up a lot of ground on recent visit. However FSU is still his leader but might take OVs in spring
- UNC felt good about 4* OL Mitchell Mayes up until yesterday when he committed to CLEM & thought that AU was their top competition
- Things still look good for AU with top ranked commit 4* WR Kobe Hudson despite lots of teams coming hard after him.
- AU is still after all 3 defensive decommits but getting them back obviously will be a challenge
- KN says more than any season under Gus how the Tigers do on the field early will make a huge impact on this next class. Players wanna see stability
- Doesn't sound like AU has much of a chance flipping Bama commit 4* RB Roydell Williams right now

Stability? Please. That quote came straight from Gus’ PR person. They want wins.
“Hey, we want a stable 7-8 wins every season.” Hahahahahahahaha...

This recruitment feels like dance off 2.0 waiting to happen.

Got some CBs for Groce today, always good to see the 4 stars leaving and making room for the 3's amirite?!

Bama offered Groce last week.
Are we back to not caring about that now? Several of you set that as the bar

I like Groce a lot
I liked Kennedy more
I will be bummed that Kennedy goes elsewhere but that won't take away my excitement if we can get Groce. He will be a 4* before cycle is over

Stability comes from winning yes. Mainly these kids build real relationships with coaching staffs and they wanna be sure those coaches are still there when they sign. That's what they mean by stability.

JLee says that 3* LB Rodney Groce is going to commit today. Looks good for AU
EDIT: he said he would commit before noon... So maybe this isn't happening today just yet

The only stability we have with the current HC is a stable amount of 8-5 seasons.

Also becoming known for starting the season highly ranked and finishing unranked.

Thus why he's on the hot seat & recruits are concerned about a coaching change....
