Correct me if I’m wrong but with the 2020 season not counting towards a year of eligibility does that mean all Seniors on this current roster could come back for another year?

If so why in the hell would anyone that’s a senior on the OL NOT come back? It’s not like they are getting drafted.

Anders Carlson also. Shawn Shivers and so on.

If they were supposed to be Seniors in 2020, then they used their eligibility up already.

I’m not sure who falls in that group and who doesn’t. Covid made it too complicated to keep up with.

I did see Wooten and Shivers say it was their last Iron Bowl

At some point these players must accept that they are who they are.

Coming back for another season likely doesn’t turn anyone on our OL to a desirable draft pick. By your 4th or 5th year you typically know your ceiling.

While CFB is fun and their current livelihood, it’s also a grind with a massive time commitment. I would expect most seniors to walk away after the bowl game.

Sometimes you just want to move on with life, depending especially on where they are in their classes/degrees.

I’m a little worried about losing Derick Hall. 9 sacks this season and he’s a junior.

Agreed that sometimes you’ve got to move on, but on the other hand, if you know that you aren’t making it in the NFL then it still might be worth it to star and get free tuition for a masters of that could improve job options.

A lot of guys can get their Masters in 4 years.

Athletes tend to stay in Auburn over the summer and take classes.

That’s my whole point right there. Why not come back? It’s not like these guys are going to jump right in the job market and start families.
