AU
I think people are starting to react to the news that he's taking his final OV to AU before deciding. IMO, people will be back on the UT bandwagon after he visits UT. Then back to AU again after visiting AU.

quote:Yup and he told 247 yesterday he has a leader in a free interview in the article about 4 Grayson players committing at the same time on TV. I still think it's the Vols FWIW.

If he does commit to Auburn do you think we'll have to continue to fight off UTK like we will with UGA if Pappoe commits?

quote:Pretty much the case w/ most big time recruits. You always keep recruiting even if they are committed so you don't get passed.

With a name like Steele Chambers he should be playing LB instead of RB. Damn good name.

He's way too emotional on Twitter. I get getting pissed at some of the shite people say to him but easier to just ignore than to let them know it upsets you. That will only encourage trolls to do it more

Where Auburn’s cornerback board stands after commitment from Cordale Flott (SECCountry)
E back with another question
quote:
The last two days affected Auburn’s cornerback board greatly.
Some of that was good news. Some of it was bad.
The bad news hit Monday when 4-star target Christian Williams committed to Alabama. The good news came less than 24 hours later with Saraland (Ala.) cornerback Cordale Flott chose Auburn. Those were the two in-state targets the Tigers wanted most in the 2019 class. To land one of two was a major need for Auburn.
Mark it down as a success.
The Tigers aren’t finished yet, however. Auburn will take a few more cornerbacks in the 2019 class.
Here are the three most likely candidates to join the Tigers’ class:

4-star ATH Jaylin Simpson, St. Simons Island, Ga.
Jaylin Simpson, listed as an athlete, probably could play wide receiver, cornerback or safety at the next level. Auburn really likes the versatility Simpson brings.
Simpson visited the Plains on March 29 with his high school teammate, Jashawn Sheffield. When he left, Simpson said how much of an impression the Tigers made on him. He plans to return at the end of April, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a decision made soon after that.
Simpson is the No. 219 overall prospect in the country.

4-star CB Marcus Banks, Houston
Marcus Banks was at Auburn’s spring game two weeks ago. The Tigers made their move.
Banks — a prospect everyone should be rooting for — initially showed interest in Auburn shortly after a Texas A&M visit last fall. The Aggies fell to the Tigers. Kevin Steele’s aggressive defense stood out to Banks, who was particularly intrigued by then-Auburn cornerback Carlton Davis. A few weeks after that visit, Auburn offered Banks, who immediately showed interest in the Tigers.
Banks made his first visit to Auburn two weeks ago, and the Tigers did enough to earn an official visit. He will take all five of his spring official visits in the coming weeks and likely will make a May decision. Texas, Texas A&M, LSU and Alabama are the other teams Banks is considering.
With him having recently lost his father I suspect he stays in Texas close to his mom but we will see what happens

3-star ATH Raydarious Jones, Horn Lake, Miss.
Raydarious Jones has made more of his spring than most.
The 6-foot-3 cornerback launched onto the college football radar this spring with offers from Auburn, Alabama, Georgia and others. Most people thought of him as 5-star linebacker Nakobe Dean’s teammate, but Jones has started to make his own name. Jones put up some of the most impressive numbers at Nike’s The Opening Atlanta regional last month. His frame sticks out to everyone.
Jones plays quarterback for his high school, so he’s a pure athlete. That’s a big reason why he has launched to near the top of Auburn’s cornerback board.
Jones had planned to make it back to the Plains twice since his early spring visit. He hasn’t been able to do so, but he expects to be back soon.
