Nix is 13 spots away from a 5* on Composite. If Rivals gives him a nice bump (he might be a 5* for them) could end up a 5* Composite

Jalen Curry plummeted. He's now a 3* by 247 but still a 4* in Composite

Definite AU lock. How in the world is he a 3*?

Diabate got a big jump, we need to do what it takes to smooth things over there.

He was 210th
I know his stock has been fading some but didn't realize it had dropped that badly. Not sure specifically why he's fallen this bad. He didn't do much at The Opening but a big part of that was he was on same team as Jadon Haselwood, George Pickens & Dominick Blaylock. Three top 50 WRs

Curry has such a high floor to drop to 87, IMO.
He seems like one of the safest 4* rankings you could have. Good hands, athletic, big, and one of the most productive WR’s in Texas, on one of the state’s best high school teams

Well, maybe he can regain SOME of those spots during his senior season

Ya I think they are overcompensating for having him too high early in recruiting rankings. There was a time he was either a 5* or close to it. Now they've dropped him way too far. He seems like a clear Top 247 player to me. Probably on the backend but he's definitely a 4* calibre kid. A strong senior season & he should bump back up

Barton just answered a question on Curry.
In short, he thinks Curry’s production is misleading due to competition they face plus the quality of players surrounding him on the team.
That coupled with quiet camp performances, Barton sees a high 3* WR and not necessarily a dynamic college WR

That's one that I think the production is a little misleading. They play poor competition on a team full of college prospects. When we've seen him in person, we just don't see a four-star guy. Still a good player and a high three-star but don't see a dynamic college wr.
Barton on Curry

Top247 for 2019 gets summertime overhaul (247)
quote:
The Opening Finals serve as a culmination of spring and summer, camps, combines, 7on7s and college workouts. It’s an insightful look at the best 162 prospects in the country and it’s a factor in our latest Top247 update for the class of 2019. But it’s only a small piece of the calculus that includes everything we’ve seen, learned and studied with this class since the last major rankings overhaul in February.
In the latest major overhaul of the Top247 for the class of 2019, we have a new No. 1, eight new five-stars and 19 new faces in the Top247.
In an accompanying piece, we've outlined 10 notable risers, from a few guys making small gains to others making their debuts in the Top247. And we've got a feature on new five-star Owen Pappoe, the Auburn commit who's been on the recruiting scene for what feels like forever.
Let's get to the headliners.
