A big reason AU leads is Gus. Hall apparently talks to him all the time. Says Gus is on vacation in Mexico but is still communicating with him. They spoke right after he arrived for Opening

NIx still not getting a ton of love from 247 right now. Was ranked 6th yesterday in their QB rankings. Hoping his team dominates 7v7
Of course they will probably say that it's because of his WRs....
Pickens tho is getting a ton of love. Think he's got a real shot to end up as a 5* in 247's rankings. Good news for Nix is Rivals loves him so he has a shot at 5* there to keep him in the top 100 for 247 Composite
Jalen Curry appears to be hurt so expect his ranking to continue to fall. Was hoping get to see what he could do this weekend but KN said was icing both kneed yesterday during testing. A lot of WRs have been banged up including UGA commits Jadon Haselwood & Dominick Blaylock

Also we absolutely need to flip Wanya Morris. I never really thought he was a 5* talent (top 100 tho) but he's been a beast so far. 5* ranking looks legit

So Bama "insider" on 247 says that Pickens is just waiting for the right time to flip & good chance Bo Nix joins him

FWIW Pickens is actively recruiting for AU. He's gonna make us nervous up to signing day but that's an encouraging sign
On the flip side, have not heard much about Haselwood trying to recruit Pickens to join him at UGA. It's the other way around. Haselwood says Pickens & Nix are in his ear constantly about AU. Jalen Curry is rooming with Pickens & says he's pushing AU. Pickens also told KN he's gonna talk with John Dunmore to see if he can get him to AU. Said he wants other elite WRs to join him because it can only help him at the next level
Bama is a legit threat to flip him no doubt but it's usually a good sign when a commit is spending a lot of time recruiting for his team. Big thing to watch is if he makes it to AU's recruiting event in July or goes to Bama's. Said at The Opening plans to be at Bama's but KN says expect AU to push him to show up for theirs. Don't think a visit to Bama means a flip lock but sure would be encouraging to see him show up at AU instead

FWIW 4* ATH Devonta Lee has AU in his top group despite not visiting yet. Intriguing athlete. Could play WR, S or even grow into a LB. In fact pretty sure Bama likes him as an ILB
Says he wants to take an unofficial to AU but not sure if he will have the time. Don't think AU will end up a true contender but if we can get him on an OV could make things interesting ala J'Marr Chase. Told Rivals he has a really good relationship with Kodi Burns

If AU and bama have a big event the same weekend and he chooses to go to bama he can get bent as far as I'm concerned. That would be ridiculous.

3* CB Warren Burrell has apparently eliminated AU from his top 4 according to Rivals
KN says Burrell LOVES AU but doesn't appear the feelings are mutual. It's crazy, in other classes Burrell would probably be our top target but with AU's options this class they can afford to not push. He's a good player but Booth & Puckett are both clearly better

Also Trezman Marshall appears to have changed his twitter stuff all back to UGA. Rusty says Dawgs feel like they have locked him back down after recent visit
Interested to see if we get him on campus again, namely if he shows up to the big recruiting event at end of July. Still not sure who else we sign at LB in this class

Personally not concerned about that “insider”. It might have been somewhat believable, but he added Nix in there, and that simply isn’t happening. I don’t even believe Pickens is considering a flip ATP, unless we go Full On 2012 Chizik this year, and how likely is that?!?!

I posted that only for the lulz. Pickens could flip but obviously the idea that Nix would go to Bama especially considering they have 2 QBs already committed is ridiculous

Looks like Nix lost to Rattler in opening 7v7 game.... Pappoe had a few pass breakups tho
