KN says all but 3 2018 signees move in this weekend

Aaryn Siposs
Anthony Schwartz
Kayode Oladele

Schwartz is waiting so he can finish track. Siposs was always planned later due to him coming from Australia. KN says nothing to do with grades on Oladele just more work for international studens. Oladele missed senior year due to visa issue so guessing he's got more hoops to jump through

Hoping to catch up on some KN updates tonight. Honestly not much has been reported recently. Interested to see what new names pop up for BCW this weekend. Really hoping get Haselwood &/or Trezman Marshall on campus partly to freak out the Dawgs

They really are, and that is not terrible for us. It weakens the crew from the “Magic City” (just vomited in my mouth some).

The enemy of my enemy is my ??...something or other. Frick em both then!!

T-Rob is the DC there? Why would he want to come be a DB coach?

AU offered pair of teammates out of FL today 3* ATH Tye Edwards & 3* ATH Kenny Logan. KN says Edwards is being recruited as a true athlete and could play RB or LB for AU. Logan is being recruited at safety

Edwards is a beast. Not sure why rating so low. Holds offers from AU, UGA, BAMA & plenty of other big schools

KN also put up a quick overview of OL recruiting right now. Here's summary

Tackles
5* Devontae Dobbs - Will OV next weekend, Michigan State thought to be favorite

5* Wanya Morris - Committed to Tennessee but AU will continue to pursue. KN thinks he visits for 1-2 home games this fall

5* Kardell Thomas - LSU commit told 247 he wants to visit AU this summer (this one ain't happening)

4* Warren McClendon - Will unofficially visit June 5-6. UGA/SCAR thought to be favorites

3* Adrian Medley - AU very high on him, FSU thought to be favorite

4* Darius Thomas - Will OV this summer

4* Xavier Truss - Will take an OV to AU at some point

4* Jack Buford - #8 player in MO plans to be at BCW. MIZZ/OK top teams

3* Justin Osborne - TCU commit who might visit AU this summer

Guards
4* Keiondre Jones - Visited AU 4 times this summer, will be back for BCW. AU trending up

4* William Putnam - AU emerging as a major threat. Visiting for BCW. FSU/MIA top teams along with AU

3* Hunter Rayburn - Stock is soaring, Bama/CLEM recently offered. Visited last weekend. AU expects him back at some point

Center
5* Clay Webb - Visited twice in past 2 months. Bama considered favorite but not announcing till fall. UGA a threat as well

Georgia athlete Jammie Robinson breaks down Auburn, rest of top 6 (SECCountry)
quote:

Jammie Robinson breaks down Auburn, rest of top 6

The relationship between Auburn and defensive back target Jammie Robinson dates back two recruiting cycles.

Robinson, the versatile athlete from Crisp County (Ga.) High School, visited the Plains during his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons as a friend and teammate of Big Kat Bryant and Quay Walker. One of those recruitments turned out in Auburn’s favor; one did not. Robinson is next in line on the list of Crisp-to-SEC standouts.

Auburn has been involved earlier than most, thanks to that pre-standing relationship.

“Whenever I was younger, I was always at Auburn with a lot of my teammates. So that’s why I was interested in Auburn since the beginning,” Robinson told SEC Country. “I’ve been on them for a good, little minute.”

Auburn earned its way onto Robinson’s top 6 list that he revealed Tuesday.

The Tigers were accompanied on that list by Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan and Tennessee-Chattanooga. Chattanooga’s presence on that list might come as a head-scratcher to some, but his former high school coach Shelton Felton is now on staff for the Mocs. It’s a nod of respect to the man Robinson credits for putting him on the map.

Robinson explained to SEC Country why each of those five programs cracked his top 6 list.

Georgia: “Georgia is Georgia, you feel me? Coach [Mel] Tucker, Coach [Scott] Fountain and Coach Kirby [Smart], they’re all hitting me up every day. I’ve been up there a couple times with me and my mom, and we’ve been enjoying the visits. It’s the home-state school, so that’s Georgia.”

Kentucky: “All those coaches started taking interest in me, so I went up there on a visit. I enjoyed the ride. It was like eight hours. I enjoyed the ride and enjoyed the visit. That’s why they’re in there. They’re doing a great job of staying in touch with me. They show me love.”

Michigan: “Michigan’s been recruiting me for a good, little minute. Ever since my sophomore year. [Safeties] coach [Chris] Partridge and [linebackers] coach [Al] Washington, they do a great job of recruiting me. What really made Michigan make the top was when Coach [Jim] Harbaugh came through to see me [at a practice]. That really sparked the recruitment up with Michigan. That showed me something.”

South Carolina: “Every time I go up there, I get that home feeling. Coach T-Rob [Travaris Robinson], Coach Mike P [Mike Peterson], coach [Will] Muschamp, they all do a great job recruiting me. That’s why they’re in there. They’ve been on me since — man, basically since I was a baby.”

Tennessee-Chattanooga: “Like you said, it’s because of Coach Felton. He helped me get my recruitment started. He’s the one who got me ready to be playing on Saturdays. I got love for him. He’s like a father to me, so that was really important to me to have them in my top 6.”

Robinson reiterated many of the coaching relationship points when he talked about his Auburn reasoning. He also mentioned some of the same “home feeling” talking points mentioned in reference to South Carolina, the school that many believe is the favorite to land Robinson. (Related: Robinson said he doesn’t have a leader at this time and will use summer visits to focus on these six schools and sort it out from there.)

“Coach [Greg] Brown, Coach [Marcus] Woodson, Coach [Kevin] Steele, they’re all making me feel like it’s a home. Whenever I go up there, it’s not like it’s a visit; it’s a real home feeling,” Robinson said. “That’s pretty much it with Auburn. They’ve always been there. I go up there a lot.”

From here, the evaluation process will start where many expect it to end — South Carolina.

Robinson won’t be at Big Cat Weekend. He’ll be in Columbia, S.C., this weekend for his first of five official visits. Robinson plans to take one other official visit this summer and three more during the season. Auburn will likely be one of the in-season official visits.

The Tigers find themselves in a safe position with Robinson. He has the relationships and the on-campus experiences. If Auburn is looking for a way to separate itself from the pack, Robinson pointed toward his family.

“Talking to my mom, my brother, having a relationship with my family. That’s pretty much it. And I’ve got a good relationship with the coaches. If I have a good relationship with the coaches, and the coaches have a good relationship with me, my mom and my family, then that would separate them from everyone else,” Robinson said.
