Why the frick is is so hard for us to recruit a true tackle. We seem to take on projects at that position.

If we can pick up a couple of grad transfer tackles/juco I think we have a great class. Maybe grimes can get the guys ready before the season starts.
Juco is not an option. There's not much left there.

think we'll have 7 on scholarship: Whitlow, Barrett, Miller, Martin, Joiner, Asa, and Shivers.

How many carries has this group had combine? 30 total?

Does it really matter with running backs?

Should have gone after Searles.

Also, with nobody else wanting to play for us why wouldn't we take Fuqua, Foucha, Tank or anyone else with an ounce of talent even if we are "full" at that position? Maybe they suck maybe they are awesome but they are definitely better than air.

RB has never been a issue at Auburn.

We will have good competition at the Tackle spots this Spring. Dont forget about Sammons,Troxell and Ashley moving into the mix with Prince. It has the potential to be a good line.

We recruited good at safety and LB too. Michael Harris being one of my faves.

To be honest we did pretty good. Its one of my favorite classes from top to bottom. We recruited 3 of the fastest players in the nation. Maybe one of the best punters in the world. A QB who looks the next coming of Cam Newton. A dynamic RB class and we are complaining about 1 position? Really??

Look at his recruiting profile. He's not much better.

For the millionth time on Tank, he burned his bridges w/ AU months ago with all the waffling he did. He's not a target, hasn't been a target, & likely won't be a target. Geez! Just let him go man.

As for the rest, the options aren't taking guys at full positions or air. There are other pressing needs. If they aren't met by high schoolers, they can be met at least in shorter term, by grad transfers or transfers. Remember there has to be space under the 25 to bring in transfers too as they count to the yearly limits.

To give a simple answer to your dumbass question, we can save the scholarships for next year.

And you have seen neither in conditioning and training etc. You also havent seen them under Grimes' teaching and development. I think we will have a very solid line this year leaps and bounds better just off the fact that it cant get any worse..ijs

There are a few grad tackles out there as well so we may grab one of them soon.

I’m still convinced that this is a really good class. Next year’s talent pool is substantially better in my slightly educated opinion.

Oh it absolutely is, one of our deeper ones. It might lack a bona fide 5* but it has very few reaches really. That won't stop everyone from being pissed off tomorrow when all our top guys go elsewhere

2019 is as loaded a class as I can remember. Having Nix already on board is huge too. Woodson doing work early in Mississippi
