Wiltfong hinting that UGA might be landing Quay Walker now. I was felt team that got him on final OV would land him. Quay Walker/Channing Tindall at ILB for the Dawgs in the future is not gonna be fun

We are missing on top players because? Maybe those players don’t believe in GM and this program. Hard to believe that a program with this recent history if success can't fill it’s “quota”. Embarrasing actually.

Gouirahe or Anderson would ease some worries

It is embarrassing. All the other top schools who have had the same success as Auburn the past 7 years, have been kicking our butts in recruiting.

Checking in.

Will this be a good NSD, or end up like NSD2012 where Auburn essentially missed on all big names?

Okay, let's look at some of our commits and who we beat out to land them (committable finalists)...

Gatewood- FSU, along with UGA, UF, etc. after Lashlee left
Monday- Clemson
Asa- Bama
Sherwood- Florida
Tutt- Ohio St.
Michael Harris- Ohio St and UGA
Hill- Clemson
Coynis- Bama
Schwartz- UF
Jibunor- UT
Seth Williams- Bama (not sure if he could've committed when he did to Bama..but at 1 point he had a committable offer there)

The other guys were pretty much early commits and not as highly ranked. But to say we're getting crushed is dumb.

Heyyyyyy! Don't bring facts to a melting party.

On Coynis you can add UF & the Vols as well.
Jibunor-I believe Florida

This is a very good class that 98% of the other D1 schools only dream of. Our coachs have to coach them up. We missed on the OT position and that will need to be a priority next year. The world is not coming to an end, believe it or not!

Yes, but not how it has been in the past.

Not even close. The class is pretty much finished already with most of them signed. There are a few guys we tried to get in on late and we came up short, but this is not even in the same ballpark as 2012.

I see no OL on that list. Who did we beat out for Kameron Stutts?

I never said nor implied it was perfect. Still KK has a strong point in his post.

You need to take a better look at the 2012 class again

Yep, When our O line gets manhandled by all of our top opponents in 3 years from now we can look at this recruiting class as a big reason why.

I don't think anyone has argued that OL recruiting was successful this year, at all. We simply have to sign a bigger/better class in '19. That's all. Not a huge deal. We weren't going to be starting frosh in '18 season anyways.

It would have been worse if it weren't for getting Diamond & Kozan after NSD. I used the class calculator for that class & removed Hutcherson & Jaquay since they never enrolled. Even though the composite has the class 11th in the country it was actually 14th w/ those removals. It was also a relatively small class w/ only 19 enrollies, only 10 of which were 4*s. No where near the potential depth of this class overall.

We got the Princes in the pipeline though.

It'd be awesome if we could recruit an OT who played 4 years of OT.

Other than that we're pretty stacked. It seems like we're getting a bit RB heavy. I think we'll have 7 on scholarship: Whitlow, Barrett, Miller, Martin, Joiner, Asa, and Shivers.

the part that sucks about Langham, etc. is that Auburn absolutely blows at recruiting legacies and lifelong Auburn fans.
