Bama 247's Tim Watts calls AU a "sneaky darkhorse no one is talking about" for Quay Walker. Echoes Tennessee seems to feel best but thinks Bama more in than other believe & that UGA is fading
Also seems pretty confident Langham sticks with Tide.
It's interesting that there have been a few posters who claim to be connected to Langham say if he visits he will sign yet the Bama side seems supremely confident. We will see what happens

Some posters on 247 are saying there's chance Pickens might transfer to Pinson Valley to play with Nix next year. No idea if that's real or not but would be awesome if true

I am more concerned about him sticking with AU. Chances of that increase if he plays with Nix. Plus wouldn't hurt for them to start practicing with each other
Either way it's a win. Pickens stays at Hoover & plays for one of the top HS programs or goes to Pinson Valley & plays with AU commit

Auburn recruiting question of the day: Who do Tigers sign on offensive line? (SECCountry)
Kinda wish now we had pushed harder for either Goss or Culver in December. Easier to say that in hindsight but would sure be nice to already have an underclass OT on board. Still holding out hope Gouraige visits but not looking great
quote:
This isn’t the first offensive line Question of the Day. It likely won’t be the last leading up to Signing Day.
With zero offensive tackles committed or signed, that’s become the lone area of concern in the 2018 class. Auburn has missed on a few of its top offensive tackle targets in this class — Jerome Carvin, Badara Traore, Jalen Goss, Nicholas Petit-Frere, Walker Culver, William Barnes and others.
But Richard Gouraige and Dylan Wonnum, two of Auburn’s top high school targets since the beginning, still have final decisions to make.
Things appear to be declining for Gouraige who took an official visit to Florida last weekend. The Gators are in a solid spot to hold onto his commitment. Still, Auburn is pushing to bring Gouraige on an official visit this weekend. If that were to happen, you never know. My prediction is with Florida right now.
Wonnum has been quiet since taking his official visit to Auburn. Since then, the offensive line coach has changed. Gus Malzahn took an in-home visit to see Wonnum, and it’s not out of the question Auburn grabs his signature. But much like Gouraige, he appears to be trending elsewhere — to South Carolina. A final decision hasn’t been made yet by Wonnum, but the Gamecocks are the likely landing spot. (Side note: I like Auburn’s chances to land Wonnum more than Gouraige right now).
That would all but exhaust the Tigers’ high school options.
It wouldn’t be the be-all and end-all for Auburn’s 2018 offensive line class.
Auburn has put its most resources in recent weeks toward the recruitment of Rice grad transfer Calvin Anderson. Gus Malzahn, Chip Lindsey and J.B. Grimes have all been to Houston to recruit the 6-foot-5, 301-pound tackle choosing between Auburn, Texas and Michigan.
The Tigers will be his final official visit. That visit will take place Feb. 9-11, which comes the weekend after Signing Day. Auburn’s numbers picture will be clear by that point. There’s no doubt the Tigers will be willing to create space in the class for an offensive lineman who has the potential to play immediately at left tackle in 2018.
When I spoke with Anderson last week, he brought up many reasons why he’s interested in each of his top schools. The No. 1 reason for all of this, however, is his desire to groom himself as an NFL draft prospect. He referenced the SEC’s ability to provide week-to-week matchups most similar to the NFL.
For that reason, Auburn’s combination of the last official visit and the conference preference make the Tigers my favorite to land Anderson despite the home-state Longhorns (especially with the Herb Hand connection) making Texas seem like the logical choice.

I mean he's 6'5" but I get your point
That's a glowing scouting report

I haven't heard that much, but I have heard that he doesn't take class seriously at all and has been borderline passing for a while.

I would take Nix all day over Taulia

No way in hell Tyson is above Nix most of all. I think Tua's 2nd half of NCG helped Taulia out. Not sure how Nix isn't a top 100 player right now
Posted on 2/1/18 at 2:59 pm to TigerPaw1
Never saw Tyson play, so I didn't comment on him. But I've seen Nix and Taulia play and it's not really close for me.

Well I just looked closer & he's actually just ahead of Tyson
