Was in the ATL airport this morning on the way to Seattle on business. Wound up standing next to Auburn OC Chip Lindsey on the airport train. Super nice guy. Asked him where he was headed and he said Houston. Going to recruit that Big OL grad transfer kid from Rice. I think they have an In home visit today. Lindsey said it was down to Auburn, Texas and Michigan. Feels like AU has a good shot, but Herb Hand being at Texas is a factor.

I don't think so. It seems like we had our sights set on Roger McCreary if we didn't get a great shot at one of the other elite corners.

KN mentioned a few times AU had talked to him some but doesn't look like anything ever came of it. Like KK said I think McCreary was the guy after not getting much headway on Griffin, Campbell and Joseph

Chase as a wildcard isn't crazy. Dude has committed twice before after visiting a campus for the first time. Also fact he still has us in top 2 means he really likes Burns.
I just don't see Walker happening. If some buzz had come out after his OV then maybe but that one would surprise me the most at this point
KN doesn't seem optimistic on AU's chances with Langham but seems like everybody knows this kid & that he loves AU. So we will see. I don't bet against Garner tho
Tannor is only one that seems pretty likely at this point
I promise to stop laughing at JLee & purchase a Rivals subscription if AU finishes with that group

Obligatory "La'El Collins at 70% and rising." Lets close with Walker, Tannor, and the Rice kid! Gus did well hiring Marcus Woodson for 2019 Mississippi class. Idk if he's worth a shite as a coach or not honestly but he's trailblazing so far.
Callsign for 2019 bagmen is "Astronomers" because of all the early stars potential. Muster at alumni center Friday at 1500S for briefing.
Lastly, not recruiting and not the time of year to derail, but im drinking, OT instead of bricking in North endzone we should put in a giant Aladdin Cave of Wonders tiger, dark entrance with lit torches for the away team to enter to strike fear in their hearts like below. Would be gimmicky but stadium unique, kids would love it. Stupid? Tubbs 'Jungle' dumb? I hear that new tower thing in SW endzone for recruiting is coming along. Don't worry I'm going to bed

and, for Randy and other stargazers alike, I know that McCreary seems like a miss....but he was offered by all of the big boys after the early signing period. So everyone liked him at least enough to throw out a conditional offer. Yes, even Bama.

Looks like the rumors of Walker not visiting Athens this weekend were bunk. Always felt that team that got him to visit last will land him. Interested to see what comes out from Gus's visit last night. Hopefully he brought Cam Newton along since he's our go to recruiter in GA
