Is Bailey Sharp next man up after the usual of Horton, Harrell and Tega? What other players on the o line have a legitimate chance of contributing next year?

Honestly not sure but I THINK he's the #4 OT after Golson, Tega & James. Always thought he could develop into a decent starting option. Honestly not sure what the pecking order is between Bailey, Sammons & Ashley but those are probably the 3 guys who will fight for the starting RT spot

Center next year will be a battle between Brahms & Kim. My early guess at next year's OL assuming we don't sign Traore

Tega | Horton | Kim | Harrell | Ashley

But long ways away so we will see what happens

FWIW Rusty sticking with his UGA prediction. However, seems like AU guys are feeling good about AU
Interesting that Mansell is sticking with UGA given how loudly Him was cheering for Auburn. I wasnt feeling goos about him last week, but after Saturday I am most confident in he and Jubinor out of all the recruits we are still going after.

but I am still not sold on him being this boss of a coach

He's not but he won't have to be if he keeps recruiting the way he is.

My guess is it's 55/45 AU right now for Hill. He wants to play for a contender & he wants to play early. It's the contending part that's been hard for AU to sell until now. Finish this season right & he's all ours imo

Jibunor is basically a commit already. No idea why it's taking so long. I think he doesn't wanna tell other coaching staffs yet because he's such a nice kid but that's speculation

Eh maybe. We have seen in the past that pure talent won't win you games. No doubt what he's doing on trail is worrisome right now but it won't be sustainable if he can't finish. Still up in the air if he can do that

2019 will be the decisive year for Kirby. If he can't get over hump then I think you see some of the recruiting stall. It will obviously still be top 10 but the hand picking will start to fade

After his official visit, 4-star CB Christian Tutt to make Tuesday decision between Auburn, Ohio State (SECCountry)
quote:

AUBURN, Ala. — Christian Tutt is ready to make his college decision.

After his official visit to Auburn, the 4-star cornerback from Thomson, Ga., confirmed what he already believed coming into the weekend — that he wanted to commit Tuesday at his U.S. Army All-American Game jersey ceremony.

It’s officially down to Ohio State and Auburn. Tutt admitted Nebraska’s coaching uncertainty and program instability steered him away from the Cornhuskers.

“This weekend was great. I’m wrapping up my recruitment. I’ll be committing Tuesday. It’s going to be at Ohio State or here,” Tutt said. “This weekend meant a lot to me. It meant a lot to me and my family.”

Tutt’s official visit to Auburn gave him a first-hand look at the Tigers against the No. 1 team in the country. He officially visited Ohio State on Sept. 17.

Based on timing, it might seem like the Tigers are a lock to land Tutt. But he already knew coming into the weekend he wanted to commit on Tuesday. He thought it was possible he’d have to push back that decision, but after this weekend, Tutt is sure he’s ready to commit on Tuesday to either the Tigers or the Buckeyes.

This weekend certainly made an impression.

“It did [change things for me],” Tutt said. “This weekend meant a lot. They showed me everything I needed to see. I seen a lot. I seen the way they played. I seen the way they finished. Everything. Down to preparation and schemes and how they run the defense. Coach [Kevin] Steele, he does a great job. That’s why I want to be a part of it.”

Auburn has a need at cornerback.

Carlton Davis is likely to leave for the NFL after this season, and so far, the Tigers don’t have any cornerbacks committed in this class. That was a big part of the conversation this weekend with Steele and secondary coach Greg Brown.

They made it known where Tutt would fit in, and he liked what he heard.

“Their schemes, I know exactly what defense they’re running and exactly where they want me to be in the defense. I know exactly what I need to do to come in and be successful, and that’s what I’m going to do.”

I am amazed that Justin Fields can watch that game Sat, evaluate Chaney’s past and come to the conclusion UGA is the best fit for him.

ETA:

I won’t start another thread about this, but with Jarrett putting up crazy numbers, and his skill set, will he get any inquiries from NFL teams this year? Seems like QB recruiting might be critical. No way he stays past next year.

They sold the whole "pro style" offense to him....death wish if you ask me. Chaney has made his living off Drew Brees.

Stidham will stay one more year. There are a lot of other QBs out there who are getting too much hype even though I think a majority of them will ultimayely suck in the NFL (ahem USC QB). Stidham stands to make millions more by waiting one more year because he wont be a first round draft pick this year. His biggest concern is whether Auburn's O line will hold up next year. And as for Fields...eff him.

I agree, but he is a stereotype NFL QB, and these teams are stupid about locking talent down. If Cleveland offered him #1 money, would he jump?

Family REALLY wanted him at UGA. Dad was always the best hope but our slow start paired with UGA's fast one ended any hope. He's an absolute stud who I think will be successful in spite of Chaney but I also think he won't reach the heights he could have at Auburn. Hope UGA holds onto Chaney for as long as Fields is there

I agree. ATL produces one of these type QBs every 10 years. Hopefully Chaney kills his career.

Would be shocked at this point if Stidham left. There's always a chance tho & if he someone gives him a 1st or 2nd round grade he could bolt but I think at this time with a deep QB group coming out, he sticks. Haven't seen his name mentioned much by NFL scouts

My bet is Jeff Holland, Dontavius Russell and Carlton Davis all leave early. I wouldn't be shocked if Pettway left despite rough season because he's got a little girl. Also with Kerryon's strong finish he could go early too. But we are gonna bring A LOT back outside of the safety position in 2018 which is exciting

I agree, but I honestly think we beat Bama and UGA. If we do that, he might be getting serious looks.

He must have just fallen in love with Athens + family pressure. From a football standpoint it makes no sense at all.

Really hope we can somehow bring these two back. Only hope with Holland is his lack of a track record. If we had Holland, Russell, Brown, and Davidson all back next year
