I hope people believe this.

No freaking out at all. Just stating that things seem to be going well.

Judging recruiting by rankings in June is a rookie move. I expect better from you

Why offensive line commit Kameron Stutts chose to attend Auburn's summer camp (AL.com)
I really like Stutts upside. His competition is ok right now and he plays way too high but dude is a mauler and a good fit for what we ask guards to do in our system
quote:
Auburn offensive line commit Kameron Stutts didn't need to spend his Saturday participating in the Tigers' half-day camp for offensive and defensive linemen. He didn't need to impress any coaches, particularly with his spot in Auburn's 2018 recruiting class secured.
Still, the three-star offensive tackle out of Brooks wanted to take advantage of an early opportunity to work with his future position coach, Herb Hand.
"He's a really good offensive line coach," Stutts said. "I thought, why not come out here and get some work done? It's the summer and you're supposed to be off, but that doesn't mean you can't go out and work."
It's somewhat unusual for a player already committed to a program to participate in one of the team's camps, but that was fine with Stutts, who committed to Auburn on A-Day back in April. Stutts, rated the No. 41 offensive tackle in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, said he checked in at 6-foot-4 and 330 pounds during Saturday's camp.
He believes he fared well during the camp, but noted one area he needed to work on: keeping his head up and using his hands more when blocking. He still enjoyed his time getting to work with Hand, whom he will spend the next several years playing for.
"I know it's not easy," Stutts said. "Most people don't want to come up here and their days off and come over here and do camps and stuff, especially if they're committed and think they have that spot. But you still have to work, because there's definitely other people out there that still want to come out -- even if I'm committed, there's still people that want to come over here and try and beat me out.
"I still have to do my best and do as much as I can to better myself and better the team I'm going to play for."
After the camp wrapped up, Stutts had a chance to sit down and speak with coach Gus Malzahn one-on-one for a bit. According to Stutts, Malzahn appreciated the fact that he came out to the camp even though he was already committed. He also told the offensive lineman that he was one of the leaders of the Tigers' 2018 class, which is ranked 41st in the nation right now and holds commitments from six players.
Stutts is working to try to add to those numbers. He said he has been in frequent contact with four-star running back Asa Martin and five-star receiver Justyn Ross, as well as a couple other offensive linemen the Tigers are targeting this recruiting cycle.
In the meantime, Stutts plans to be back on campus next month when Auburn holds its next half-day camp for linemen on July 21.
"Just getting better as much as you can," Stutts said. "You can't ever miss an opportunity to get better. You just do as much as you can. If you want to be the best, that's what you got to do."
I really like Stutts upside. His competition is ok right now and he plays way too high but dude is a mauler and a good fit for what we ask guards to do in our system

Auburn offers in-state, 6-foot-6 TE Michael Parker (AL.com)
quote:
Westminster Christian 2018, 6-foot-6 tight end Michael Parker tweeted Saturday night that he has received an offer from Auburn.
The Tigers are the first SEC team to offer the 230-pound Parker, who is the brother of Alabama senior walk-on tight end Jacob Parker.
Michael's other offers include Purdue, Troy, South Alabama, South Florida, Central Florida and Southern Miss.
Parker caught 35 passes for 561 yards - an average of 16 yards per catch - and five touchdowns last season.
"They like his speed and they kind of flirt with the idea of him being a guy who can split out and line up tight," Westminster coach Louis LeBlanc said of college coaches during an interview with AL.com last month. "Hopefully he'll give them an opportunity to line up in multiple personnel groupings but with the same people in the field."

Alabama offers OL Amari Kight, lifelong Tide fan (AL.com)
It's early but there's a good chance Bama takes the top 3 OL in next year's class (Pierce Quick, Clay Webb & Amari Kight). Need AU to get at least one of those dues (preferably Webb)
quote:
Watch out War Eagle: Thompson's Amari Kight, one of the best - and biggest - offensive lineman prospects in the state of Alabama, recently earned an offer from Alabama - the SEC school he idolized as a kid.
Kight now has offers from both in-state SEC schools, as well as Mississippi State. More SEC football offers could follow this summer as the 6-foot-8, 308-pound Kight, a highly-touted recruit in the Class of 2019, continues to make appearances at football camps.
"Really love his work ethic," said Thompson coach Mark Freeman. "He has a desire to be great. Super young man and family. He's a blessing to coach."
Nick Saban and the rest of Roll Tide are intrigued. But they're not alone in the SEC.
Meanwhile, Kight is preparing for his junior season at Thompson where he will play left tackle.
In late May, Kight told AL.dom he does not expect to commit before this fall. Thompson is coming off a 5-5 season under Freeman. This fall will mark Freeman's third season.

Auburn, Alabama make top 5 for state's No. 1 recruit, Justyn Ross (AL.com)
quote:
Five-star receiver Justyn Ross took a step closer to making a college decision on Sunday night, and both Auburn and Alabama made the cut.
Ross, the state's No. 1 recruit in the 2018 class and the nation's fifth-best receiver, released a list of his top-five schools at 7 p.m. CT. Along with Alabama and Auburn, the Central-Phenix City prospect has Clemson, Florida and Florida State rounding out his top college choices.
At 6-foot-4 and 197 pounds, Ross is a dynamic downfield threat in the passing game. His high school coach, Jamey DuBose, compared him to former Alabama star and current Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones. Last season for the Red Devils, the then-junior hauled in 38 passes for 663 yards and eight touchdowns while often drawing double teams. He earned ASWA Class 7A All-State first-team honors and will be an Under Armour All-American this season.
Ross has made visits to Auburn, Alabama and Clemson this month. He was on the Plains for Big Cat Weekend earlier this month and brought his mother, Charay Franklin, along with him after she recently returned from a tour of duty overseas with the U.S. National Guard. Franklin also joined her son when he made a trip to Tuscaloosa that same weekend for a camp on Alabama's campus.
Last week, Ross took an unofficial visit to Clemson.
While Ross is unlikely to make a commitment until after his senior season, he remains a high priority for both in-state programs. The five-star receiver also has ties to both schools, with former teammates on the roster at Auburn and Alabama. Former Central defensive back John Broussard is a sophomore for the Tigers, while former Red Devils linebacker Markail Benton signed with Alabama in February as part of its 2017 signing class.

Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Stock Report: Wide receivers (Rivals)
quote:
INDIANAPOLIS – More than 100 of the top players in the nation participated June 10 in the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge presented by adidas at the Indianapolis Colts practice facility. The Rivals analyst team is breaking down the status of each player at the marquee event based on his performance against elite competition. Today, we look at the wide receivers.

4* WR Trey Knox
The class of 2019 wide receiver is currently ranked as a 5.8 four-star but after another impressive performance, it’s hard not to see him making a move when the first numerical Rivals100 is released for the 2019 class later this summer. Ohio State, Florida, Tennessee and several other programs are among the early favorites for Knox.
An AU target who is teammates with Master Teague. It sounds like he's a lock to the Buckeyes right now

Looks like Josh Newberg removed his CB pick of UF for Fields and put it as 'foggy'. He's the Noles247 writer.
Seems to think that his recruitment will carry over into the season. We need to come out of the gates hot with Stidham.

5* WR Jadon Haselwood
Haselwood is a five-star prospect with not a lot of room to move up. All he did was solidify himself as one of the best in the country for 2019. He was one of the top two wideouts here.
I have this fantasy where we sign Justin Fields, Stidham lights up opponents leading us to an SEC Championship while Kirby sucks it up and then we flip Haselwood in the 2019 class....
It's the offseason so we need to dream about something

quote:
4* WR Kearis Jackson
Jackson was moved around a lot working at wide receiver, slot and at running back. He just has a great feel for the position and he knows how to sit down in zone coverage and make the tough catches in traffic. He had one of the best catches of the 7-on-7 play for a touchdown between two defenders. Jackson will be a difficult match-up on the inside on the next level.

quote:
4* Devonta Lee
One could make the case that Lee belongs in the stock up category, especially after excelling as both a wide receiver and defensive back at the event. But Lee is already ranked as a 6.0 and he didn’t quite do enough this weekend to earn the elusive five-star status. LSU, Alabama and several others are involved in Lee’s recruitment.
Probably my favorite WR so far in 2019 class. Too bad he's from LA...
Posted on 6/19/17 at 8:04 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
4* WR Trey Palmer
Initially ranked as a safety, Palmer earned his invitation to the event as a wide receiver and didn’t disappoint. His speed and athleticism help him get open against most defensive backs and he has knack for making big plays. LSU, Alabama and several others are in the early mix for Palmer.
2019 class is seriously loaded
