Ya but he was like 210+ lbs. Shivers is 170 & Webb is 190. FWIW I do think Webb could be an every down back and I don't thinks Shiver is purely a speed sweep guy. But there are posters on here that would lose their shite over signing just those 2

I would love for this to happen. Martin/Joiner/Shivers RB class would be legit

With respect to the young man, Joiner is overrated as a RB right now IMO. He has the physique of a good RB but unfortunately for him he runs with very little physicality. He's a 6'4, 220 lbs finesse runner. At that size he needs to learn to bull some people over.

I can live with Pierce/Provens/Shivers
I think AU likes Provens as a DB right now.

Agreed but I really likes his versatility. Could use him as the H-Back/WR hybrid. Just don't think he will ever buy into that idea because he thinks he's a RB and Orgeron is selling him on sticking there tho I don't think he will at LSU either

That's what Joey is for when we get Fields.

Perhaps it needs to be lost? Maybe their shite isn't worth holding onto?

Just saying?

Scary thought I know but JLee agrees.

I think Richard Jibunor, Harold Joiner and Joey Gatewood are three of the most fascinating prospects this cycle. Not sure exactly what position they will play at next level but if they find the right one can be elite

Plug n' play baby. Not hard to find RB to be productive in our system.

I've watched Joiner his whole life. My kid is the same age. He's never had an OL to run behind. One of our employees' son is the starting center for MB. Kid is 6'2" and like 180. He gets killed every play.

We have to be in the playoff discussion going into the Iron Bowl for him to stay alive, IMO.

That's a bit much.

If we go 8-4 and somehow two of those 8 are UGA and Bama, he survives.

If we go 9 wins or better with a win over either he survives.

I don't see at least 10 wins and wins over both being a requirement.

Did you watch the last few games of the season last year

Our play got plugged.

I disagree with everyone on the RB situation. Right now we are thin and it takes a special back to be our feature back.

I'm not saying nor implying that it's for everybody, I apologize if I made it sound that way.

On the thin pat I just don't know yet. It depends on how Malik & Barrett develop as feature backs after Bubba.

It doesn't take an elite back to be our feature back though. We have had good running production the last 8 or 9 years and some of the guys doing the producing aren't elite.

Tre Mason, Dyer, CAP, Petway, etc.

None of those are "special"

I disagree. Maybe they (Spice Head excluded) weren't 5*s out of HS, but all of them deleloped into special RBs in college.

Whatever offense you play in, you don't lead the SEC in rushing by accident IMO.

They all learned from a great RB coach, how to properly tote the mail. Maybe the aren't special in that they aren't 1st round NFL guys, but we are a better team because we have them.

Pettway is still writing his resume. He is likely a better pro than the others IMO.

I said some weren't elite. CAP and Bubba aren't elite. They were both underrated as mid level 3*s but neither one is elite. Bubba went to my alma mater at Prattville & I was higher on him than most AU fans but even with my P'ville shades on he isn't elite. Damn good but not elite.

From a running production stand point in our system all we need is a guy who is solid in between the tackles & has better than Peyton Barber vision.

My bad blzr. Didn't realize you were agreeing with me.

No but all of them are better than what we have after Pettway right now for a every down back
