I fully expect us to get swept against UGA But really, UF was a dream matchup for us. Their hitting is absolute garbage and they basically gave us the game today with that bad news bears routine. I'm very excited about the direction of the program and I think that if these guys don't get too over confident we will squeak into a regional this year.

The sweep!

The pitcher had NO business throwing that ball to 3rd with Schaeffer on 2nd. Unless it is damn near a line drive you take the out, then do an IBB and hope you can turn 2.

Good read and stat heavy.

Auburn walked off with a 6-5 win on Sunday to complete its first three-game sweep over Florida since 1987 … it’s just the second sweep of Florida in Auburn program history and it was the first time Florida had been swept since 2013

The last time Auburn started 3-0 in SEC play was 2010 … The Tigers took three games from Georgia that season and went on to win the SEC West
quote:

Auburn’s defense turned seven double plays on the week and leads the SEC with 21 … The Tigers have turned 12 double plays over the last eight games … The Auburn pitching staff posted a 1.05 ERA over the 5-0 week with 34 K and only seven walks

Despite only holding a 1-0 record, Auburn is 5-1 in games started by freshman Davis Daniel

The Tigers last faced UGA in 2015, a three-game sweep in favor of Auburn at Plainsman Park

Absolutely true.

But, then again, its absolutely true that some player will inevitably try.

He tried against us and he failed.

Auburn comes in ranked at 16 by Baseball News and 20 by D1 Baseball. Not ranked by Perfect Game or Baseball America

W/ GTech, Series @ UGA, Bama, Series v USCe (home)

Would it be unreasonable to think min 6W, 8W achievable likely 7W?

My guess is 5-3 (3-2) L, WWW, W, LWL

Worried about midweek, but Bama is awful, so we should win there. We should sweep UGA, but USC will be a tough series to win.

According to the Weather app, there's a 40% chance of storms at first pitch tomorrow in Atlanta and on until ~8:00 ET or so.

I'm hoping for a bit of rain delay since my last class at Emory runs 6:00-7:20; they wouldn't postpone it from an hour or two of rain, would they?

Winning 6 and taking 2 from USC would make me feel better about the win against UF.

I think 5 wins is to be expected. Tech is decent, will probably get rained out. Hard to sweep a team on the road even as bad as thUGA is. We always beat bama in Montgomery and should throw Lipscomb in that game. If Crowe from USC isn't pitching then I like our chances to take 2 from the cocks. 4-4 is not out of the question however, nor would it be the end of the world.

Right now we are 2 games ahead of where I thought we would be in conference. In order to make the SEC tournament we need to be at least 12-18 imo. In order to make a regional we need to be 14-16. I had us at 13-17 coming into the season. After the first SEC series I am thinking we are a 16-14 to 17-13 type team which would get some consideration to hosting. I think in order to host for sure we would need to be 20-10 which I still think is doable.

This umpire's strike zone is low. Sheesh.

ETA: Called a strikeout on a terribly called checked swing. Looks like home cooking today.

This team has swagger about them. They think they're more talented than they are, and quite frankly, that's most important.
