Hell ya
Glad to see Moultry getting some love. Dude could play basically any LB or the BUCK position. Will find a way on the field in some capacity next season

Rivals also released rest of their top 250. I don't have their original rankings so will just post where they are now
#113 K.J Britt (I do remember him being #104 so he fell a bit)
#160 Malcolm Askew
#193 Alaric Williams
So AU has 6 players in Rivals top 250. Remaining targets
#47 Devon Hunter
#118 Jarez Parks - dropped a big chunk on Rivals
#125 Henry Ruggs
#206 Oliver Martin
#217 Tyler Taylor
#239 Ryan Johnson
#250 Kai-Leon Herbert

Shakeup at the top as 247Sports announces final 5-stars for '17 (247)
quote:
No. 18 Tadarian Moultry, ILB, Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin
Recruitment: committed to Auburn
Movement: Up from No. 50
Simmons says: "Bottom line, no one in the 2017 class has film that's more fun to watch than Moultry. He's violent football player that adds a pass-rush skillset to go with his inside linebacker heat-seeking style."
quote:
No. 25 Calvin Ashley, OT, Washington (D.C.) St. John's College
Recruitment: committed to Auburn
Movement: Down from No. 23
Simmons says: "I didn't think Ashley would survive as a five-star. He trended down some after being one of the first to earn a fifth star in this class but he battled back with a big senior season and really impressed our team at the Under Armour Game."

Moultry savors Kevin Greene's coaching in Texas (247)
quote:
After getting into the backfield and nearly recording a sack at the recent U.S. Army All-American Bowl in Texas, Auburn linebacker commit Tadarian Moultry of Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin returned to the sideline.
There, he was greeted by a middle-aged man in a gold jacket who immediately coached him up.
The person's voice was forceful. He moved his arms to explain how he wanted something done.
That man was Auburn legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Kevin Green, who served as an honorary coach in the game.
“I just listened,” Moultry said. “I just had to slow myself down. Sometimes I play too fast. He told me, ‘You’re going to be a pass rusher when you get in college.'
Moultry and his coach at Jackson-Olin, Tim Vakakes, met Greene two days earlier at an Army Bowl meet-and-greet function.
“I went up to TD and explained to him who (Greene) was,” Vakakes said. “There were talking about pass rush moves. I was kind of telling him how TD hadn’t rushed the passer much. He started talking about his moves. He told TD, ‘Limit your moves.’ He said he had two moves. The first move, he said, was 'Whip his a—. Go straight through him. My second move was off of that.’ He kept saying you have to limit how many moves you have. TD was just listening. … It was incredible.”
Moultry, who isn’t the type to be star struck, enjoyed the experience of meeting Greene and later getting coached up by him.
“It was nice seeing him,” Moultry said. “I really didn’t know who he was at first. But it was nice learning from somebody who knows these types of things. I don't turn it down."
As you might expect, Greene also mentioned his affection for Auburn, where he was a star in the mid-1980s, when talking with Moultry. He told Moultry about Auburn’s family vibe and threw in a War Eagle or two during their conversations.
“He loved it (at Auburn),” Moultry said.
Moultry, who is big on watching film of elite players such as Vonn Miller, now plans to add a new name to his Youtube playlist.
“He said he was going to watch Kevin Greene stuff now,” Vakakes said.

Auburn recruiting: Staff takes aim at key position group on in-home visits (SECCountry)
quote:
The final group-wide visit, to my knowledge, was to Mobile to visit uncommitted 4-star DL Ryan Johnson. He recently returned from his official visit to Stanford, which he gave a two thumbs up. Johnson still is working to qualify at Stanford. If that happens soon, that poses a potential threat. Otherwise, Alabama is the team to beat, and the Crimson Tide might have other preferences. Johnson and Jackson would make a strong in-state combo on the defensive line in this class. The staff’s urgency to go see those two specifically on the first day following a big weekend is telling. Johnson officially visits this weekend. Texas coaches also visited Johnson.
quote:
Barrett is the feature back of the class, and Tim Horton has shown that priority throughout Barrett’s recruitment. The No. 12 running back in the country took his official visit to Auburn on Dec. 9 along with a few other Tigers commitments. With an open January, he now has been linked to a few other schools — national champion Clemson being the big one. Tennessee also has been named in the Barrett conversation. For now, no official visits have been set in stone, though trips to all three are possible. Still, Auburn should feel at ease with the top running back in its class.
Williams officially visited Nebraska in September. That’s more of a security blanket if things go awry at Auburn. It will be tough for that to happen from a football standpoint. With Williams, it’s more of a grades concern. He told SEC Country that he’s 1 point from the test score he needs to qualify, which is a step in the right direction. If he sorts that out, he’s an Auburn Tiger.
Matthews posted a few cryptic messages on Twitter during the weekend. I don’t want to read too much into them — or even publish them — they simply hinted at making business decisions and wading through difficult life choices. Matthews cleared all of that up Monday and said point-blank that he has no intention of de-committing. He has some academic hurdles, hence the pushed-back enrollment. But, again, that’s something that can be taken care of with a successful spring semester at Itawamba Community College.

Regrading Auburn’s 2013 recruiting class: Multiple 5-star prospects in re-rank (SECCountry)
Interesting look back on Gus's first class
quote:
A few members of the 2013 Auburn recruiting class are on their way out. There are a couple brave souls remaining to uphold the legacy of the cycle.
Last week, you saw the 2012 recruiting class re-rank. Here’s the 2013 edition.
The 2013 class offered much higher star power. Some of the best stars in recent memory joined the Auburn family in this class. The Tigers’ most recent run of running back success originated from this class, and — in a roundabout way — set the stage for the Kamryn Pettway-Kerryon Johnson era.
It also includes one of the Auburn’s most highly-rated and divisive players in the Gus Malzahn era.

Auburn LB commit Tadarian Moultry becomes second 5-star in 2017 class (SECCountry)
quote:
As far as rankings go, Auburn’s recruiting class improved Tuesday despite no new additions.
The 247Sports rankings released its new 5-star prospect list, which will be the final change of the 2017 cycle. Auburn had two commits make the list of 32 players to be named 5-stars.
Tadarian Moultry made a giant leap. The Auburn linebacker commit from Birmingham (Ala.) was most recently the No. 50 prospect nationally, which left him a few places outside the 5-star threshold. On Tuesday, the Jackson-Olin linebacker moved all the way up to No. 18 in the player rankings — a 32-spot jump.
Moultry had a standout senior season in which many believed he was the best linebacker in the country. According to these rankings, only Ohio State commit Baron Browning is higher-rated at the position.

3 state of Alabama recruits earn 5-star status by 247Sports (AL.com)
Only one I disagree with is Ruggs. Not sure he is a 5* WR but he did have a great senior season and a strong showing in all star games so I get the hype just think he sits more around the 50 mark than within the top 25

Three prospects from Alabama have earned five-star status in 247Sports' latest rankings.
James Clemens defensive end LaBryan Ray, Jackson-Olin linebacker T.D. Moultry and Lee-Montgomery receiver Henry Ruggs III all earned five stars from 247Sports after spectacular senior seasons and good performances in postseason all-star games.
Ray jumped up from No. 46 overall to No. 15 overall in the national 247Sports individual rankings.
Moultry rose up to No. 18 overall. He was No. 50 in the last update.
Ruggs is now ranked No. 25 overall, rising 30 spots since the last update.
Moultry is solid in his commitment to Auburn. He joins Washington, D.C., offensive tackle Calvin Ashley as five-star commits in Auburn's class. He participated in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game and the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
