Lawson was likely always coming which is why I said locked in. Adams was all but gone right up until his last visit.

You must not remember that cycle at all. There were serious concerns Lawson was gonna flip as he was visiting Tennessee. Clemson was the favorite for Adams and Daniels seemed like a pipedream. They all visited that last weekend before NSD and all signed. It was a big deal. No one at that time new Daniels was gonna be a dumbass

Lambert is so bad he earned a spot on the Bucs roster and started 5 games for them but that has nothing to do with recruiting or not. That's a development complaint

Cowart definitey but we were top 2 with UF for Holland. Muschamp helped seal the deal. Sure Tega is now an OT this season but he was recruited as a DE and was considered a nice pull at the time

Every year on NSD Garner has landed 1-2 of our top DL targets. If you wanna argue that we are bad at evaluating top targets that's fine but doesn't change the fact that of the guys we want Garner usually gets a few of his late.
This also doesn't take into account the fact he fought off Bama for Davidson & Ohio State for Jackson last year before they enrolled early. I know you have this hatred for all things Garner but he isn't as bad as you want him to be and he is a damn good closer

For some reason I thought Derrick Brown said that but I get all these guys mixed up over the years. FWIW his mom said she thought he would pick Clemson

There definitely are guys that are 3* that we "wanted all along"
If a top guy we clearly have targeted goes somewhere else, we are on a backup plan. Even if the guy is legit, he still is a backup plan
