Shows the disconnect between Brown and Texas HS football, among other things.
Also, extravaganza looks a lot like extravagina

Apparently Manziel was the # 13 DT quarterback back then. Not really much of a stretch to call him a QB. He had several QB offers as well, quite the difference from Manziel to Malik. Mack Brown was roasted by his own fanbase for both misses. Much deserved.

we also offered JF3 and now Malik.
I don't get the JF/Willis comparisons... Franklin was a JUCO with 2 years eligibility signed to compete with white for the starting job this past spring. Malik is the clear #2 QB in this class (behind Stidham) who will undoubtedly redshirt.
There's a lot to like about Willis, but no question he's a project. Personally, i feel much better about this kid than I did about getting a recommitment out of Narcisse (bc of the injuries).

Fed up with Gus's project Qbs because its been proven that Gus cannot develop a Qb.

Holy hell. He can't really think HE was THE reason LSU hired an OC right? He's the type of kid that makes me hate recruiting sometimes.

Rivals Daily Dozen: Top offensive standouts from Future 50 Combine (Rivals)
quote:
5* OG Jamaree Salyer
Salyer’s initial punch is devastating and if a defensive lineman happens to get under it then the top-rated offensive guard has excellent footwork as well. The four-star absolutely dominates inside and he’s so massive that it’s nearly impossible to overpower him. He had a phenomenal performance. Georgia, Clemson, Alabama and others are involved.
quote:
4* WR Justyn Ross
Ross makes all kinds of catches – tough ones down the sidelines, ones where he needs to catch up to overthrown balls – and he does a great job grabbing the ball out front with his hands and not letting it get into his body. The four-star likes Auburn and Alabama most and he could be a guy on the outside who could go deep and make a ton of big catches.
quote:
4* OT Richard Gouraige
Gouraige is a lean offensive tackle still growing into his body, which reminds us of former Florida offensive lineman Ian Silberman. The four-star has good arm extension and he’s surprisingly physical and aggressive and that should continue once he puts on more weight. He can run and pass block so Georgia, Ohio State and others involved in his recruitment would be great fits.

Rivals Daily Dozen: Defensive standouts from Future 50 (Rivals)
quote:
4* CB Myles Sims
Quarterbacks had a hard time throwing around Sims because of his great length. He covered so much ground and didn’t jump double moves. Sims got better and better with each rep he took and denied the pass to his receiver. He is a lot like former Clemson defensive back Jayron Kearse. Georgia, Clemson, Auburn, and Notre Dame are all in good position with Sims.
quote:
4* CB Al Blades Jr
Another long defensive back, Blades did a great job of delaying receivers at the line of scrimmage. He didn’t bite on double moves and played with great physicality, just like his father and uncles. A one-time Miami commit, Blades says he is also seriously considering Florida State, but he will likely end up a Cane.
