Wonder howhat that makes Lashlee / Gus feel when even recruits notice our terrible qb roster

Gus knows it 24, hence why he desperately wanted JF3 to win the job. Tyler Stovalls dad told me after Auburn's family day that he joked with Gus that he should put Stovall in as QB. Gus's reply was yeah we definitely need somebody with an arm back there. That may be a joke as well but watching the handcuffing of SW at times leads me to believe that Gus indeed doesn't like his QB crew that recruited.

Coaches tell recruits whatever the sell is but that must make Sean White feel like a POS. Maybe he'll come out with a fire in the bowl game.

honestly feel like the logical thing at this point is that the rumor's of Sean's career being over are true

Sounds like the Deangelo Gibbs visit went as well as it could. T-WILL and Gus convinced them to officially visit after their in home this week. The focus was them learning how Steele envisions using him in our defense. Apparently it went over real well. He has a cousin that went to AU who has told him great things. He plays in state title next Saturday night and if there is time will make official to UGA. Dawgs are considered the leader still but it sounds like AU did everything possible to get into the picture. He will announce at the Under Armor All-American game. HIs family likes how Auburn has recruited Gibbs along with fact they haven't given up

I still think he goes Dawgs but impressed we were able to pull this visit off. Really hoping when this defensive staff gets a full year to recruit they can land some of these big fish instead of playing from behind all year

Florida 247 had update on Jarrett Stidham. Apparently in home went well with McElwain and Nussmeir. Says they really know their shite. What stands out in the update though is Gus called him right after and he said he is going to sleep on whether or not to visit. Gators are threat but doesn't sound like it's a lock for him to visit. If he doesn't visit it's done

Recently offered 3* DE Tyree Johnson is now planning to visit AU. He is a teammate of Calvin Ashley and currently committed to Aggies. However when Hand visited Ashley last week Johnson showed Hand his film. Hand took it back to Garner and we decided to offer. Garner is going to visit him this week then he is gonna visit AU in January. No idea if this helps us keep Ashley but this kid would fit the mold of a true pass rushing option that we are looking for in this class

Something to watch is 3* LB Monty Rice. Had great visit from staff last week and did not make trip to UGA this past weekend as expected though KN doesn't think the 2 are related. AU was supposed to visit him Sunday but apparently plane issues caused it to be canceled. We still plan on visiting him this week and he might take official this upcoming weekend before announcing. He is early enrollee.

I am unsure if we would take both Rice & Taylor but sounds like we are pushing hard for Rice right now

Auburn offers underclassmen standouts from Fultondale, Mobile Christian (AL.com)

quote:

Auburn got a head start on the class of 2018 and 2019, extending offers to two in-state prospects.

The Tigers offered Ja'Len Sims, a sophomore linebacker from Fultondale, and Andres Fox, a junior defensive end from Mobile Christian.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Sims averaged 13 tackles per game with eight sacks, two interceptions and one touchdown. Auburn is Sims' first offer.

"He's a physical player with good instincts and they like his ability to defeat blocks," Fultondale coach Richie Busby said.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Fox led Mobile Christian to the Class 3A state championship game before they fell to Piedmont. Fox is a three-star recruit with offers from the likes of Penn State, North Carolina State and Arizona, but now the Tigers take the early lead for his services, he says.

"The offer means a lot and this is amazing, but I would have never got this offer without my teammates," Fox said.

AndresLFox9?? @AndresLFox9
Blessed to have received an offer from Auburn University????

I think next week. More than likely that decision tweet is whether or not he should visit UF. He hasn't committed yet to taking an official though he likely will

On a side note Kam Martin is working hard to get him here. Seems like he responds to all of his tweets and was sitting with him at basketball game

Thompson couldn't do a damn thing against Hoover. Got sacked 3 straight plays to lose state. Id hate to see him under pressure against Bama
