I'd be interested to know what the "Fire Lashlee" crowd thinks of Lashlee's and Stidham's relationship

This is the 21st century. I wouldn't want to see them lip locking but I'm very open to that idea. Does his gf know?

I'll bite. If a coach sucks, no single recruit coming here because of a relationship is worth the coach staying.
But, considering our QB situation, Stidham is as close as it gets.

KN had very positive article on 4* DE Markaviest Bryant. Apparently visit went as well as it could Sunday. Here's summary
- Claims a top 4 of AL/AU/LSU/UGA
- In August, AU was a non factor with Bryant (rumor is Smart sold Gus would be gone hard all summer and he listened) to now planning on taking an official visit
- Says LSU/UGA are recruiting him the hardest but it became clear to him from visit that we have made him a top priority
- We will be back to visit him again next week
- Apparently the "your the next Carl Lawson" pitch went over real well. He loves Lawson and liked how we used him this year
- Rodney Garner, Kevin Steele & T-WILL made the trip. Made big impressions on his mom
- Coaching instability was his big worry with AU but now he isn't. Feel confident that Garner & Steele will be there which was his worry before the year. Play of defense this year also helped
- KN summed it up by saying we are probably sitting 3rd right now behind UGA & LSU but we are making major progress. He is cousins with Montravius Adams and speaks to him about what it's like to play at AU. This will be a battle till NSD
Personally this screams late Rodney Garner steal to me. Almost every cycle he has taken a long time lock out of GA from UGA: Adams in 2013, Russell in 2014 & Brown last year. We still have a lot of work to do but we are in MUCH better positioning after this season. He was a guy a good year would have a big impression on and apparently it did
If we finished Ryan Johnson, Markaviest Bryant & AlecJackson I would be thrilled

Hamm as update out on Stidham today. Says that the big question AU faces is future of Rhett Lashlee. Hamm did say he expect Kendal Briles name to emerge as OC candidate for AU if Lashlee leaves along with a few SEC teams. Sumlin & Mazzone meet with Monds Wedensday. He says that will probably be the big deciding factor of how things go. They have to sell the Monds on them recruiting Stidham
Personally I think it's crazy how A&M has put themselves in this situation. It sounds like first choice Stidham would go Aggie but they sold Mond on being the only QB so now they have to either back track or pass on Stidham. Basically they have boxed themselves in here and will be interesting to see if they can wiggle out. Best case for AU is they double down on Mond being only QB and Stidham moves on from them. We will see

Also we are running #2 for WR Tamorrion Terry right now behind FSU. Noles have offered with a condition, he has to show a passing ACT before it's commitable. AU not far behind and he plans to take official in January. Gators running 3rd. Per usual they want him as a DB

I'd agree with that but the fire Lashlee crowd seems like the same people that think it's Sidham comes to AU or Gus is gone which is why I asked

High school/college girlfriends being far away can be a positive depending how much of a player you are off the field.
I wouldn't put too much stock in the unbounding reaches of love inside the heart of twenty something football player being a compelling reason.

I wonder how White feels about that.
On one hand, I'm all what's good for the team is good for me.

Not sure but if I recall this past offseason when asked about Franlkin he said he understood coaches would always be trying to bring in someone better than him or something to that affect. Will be interesting to see how he would handle it if we landed Stidham
