We've been doing this for a long time. Quan Bray, HS QB. Trovon Reed, HS QB and DB. CJ Uzomah, HS QB. There's been more I'm sure, that's just off the top of my head.
It's not unique to us though, a lot of high schools just put the best athlete on the team at QB . Gus seems overly fond of the idea though.
If they actually have the hands to play WR, then having played QB can actually help because you know how a QB sees you on the field. But if you have the hands of Ricardo Louis, you should be playing DB.

Rico played QB in HS too at times even if not SR yr. Stanton Truitt was a QB too.
That transition has been fairly successful for NFL guys. We don't have NFL caliber WR coaches though

I thought u could transfer as long as u had the grades. No matter if u had only been there a year.
