His immaturity made him a bad fit apparently.

I'm just glad he has matured sooo much in 2 months and was able to convey that to our coaches in a single visit!

I agree that we probably would take him if he wanted to commit, just sounds like we aren't putting our eggs in his basket and focusing on others.

If he wants to visit and isn't a negative influence, why would our coaches say no? We let pretty much any kid with a D1 offer visit if they want

Because why would you let someone visit and waste time and resources if you thought he was a bad seed and not a good fit for the program?

Relationships, especially with teenagers, aren't as black and white as you want to believe.

Bolles visited ASU recently and enjoyed the visit. I'm beginning to think the distance to AU may keep him out of this class. He's engaged or married one and she will be going wherever he goes, but he has some quality offers closer to Utah. He's smart and understands he'll be in the league in a few years no matter where he goes (barring something crazycrazy happening) He isnt young and impressionable like most cruits.

He's probably my top target so I'm keeping fingers crossed that he and his wife want to move to the South for 2 years

1- He is friends with other targets like Marlon Davidson and we don't want him trash talking AU

2- We don't waste resources with another kid showing up. We can't provide any benefits and having another person on a golf cart/group of kids doesn't take any resources

3- TTH is set up to accommodate a ton of visitors, even the ones we have zero plans of offering or no shot at.

Nobody said he was a bad seed, just that he didn't fit the ideal personality Muschamp wants. The story is that Muschamp wants guys who play with a chip on their shoulder and above their talent level. Mack Wilson is an absurd talent but doesn't project the Kobe Bryant/Michael Jordan work ethic to be the best.

As I said, I don't see us turning Mack Wilson down if he were to commit and we legit thought he'd stick. It just doesn't sound like the coaches are putting a ton of effort into him. We'll have him in, we'll talk with him etc but we aren't beggin him to come like say Reuben Foster

FSU commit Jamal Couch from Phenix City says he's 50% committed. Was supposed to visit today but didn't make it.

2017 4* QB Davis Mills from Atlanta is camping at AU today.

Also some chatter that NCM & his brother may be in AU this weekend.

I thought Couch was from Phenix City? And what position are we recruiting him for?

you're right. saw the red helmet, knew he was near Auburn, and assumed Opelika

no idea. 6-5 & 215, I'd guess OLB or WR

Translated: That was dumb but we don't want to admit we were totally wrong/lying so we will act like he is slowly working his way back into the coaches good graces.

Incorrect. He has had explosive anger and temper tantrum issues at multiple camps and schools where he has been since 9th grade. AU did not want to deal with him until he showed a sincere attempt to grow up by not letting his anger and emotions control him so much.

What made him a "bad fit" before? The fact he started favoring UGA?

I explained it above. We cut ties with him before UGA started recruiting him remember. We were clearly in the lead when we cut him.

I'm sure it's just total coincidence all those issues magically disappeared now that he is showing an interest again.

Noone has said nor implied they disappeared. Him likely not being a take means they are still likely an issue but at least it appears EJ is working on them.

Found this from a FSU blog. They were recruiting him at LB but mentioned that in high school he plays a FLEX TE position
