I would like for us to take Davis I think he can be good, and I really don't want to see another player slip through our fingers only to turn out to be a beast. Like that mlb from miss st and their wr Wilson we could if had both of them if we wanted

We never seem to completely fill a class and due to SDjr's versatility, I don't see why he shouldn't be taken as a plug player at worst.

He seems to be a top tier athlete so I just find it hard that there isn't a place for him.
Great athlet or not he needs to be a top target on the safety or LB board.

Seriously? I never melt over stars. In fact, I don't even melt at all. You idiots really think because I like to stir shite up that I'm "melting"?

Muschamp will be here for a while. He failed at UF. It will be some time before another top school gives him a chance.

What's the point on trying to stir shite up in this thread? That's what the rant is for.

His 247timeline certainly doesn't reflect that.

Ignoring that Evans lives near AU/double legacy, not hard to see him consistently visiting etc.

I think it technically was during the Chizik era but I just remember when he was looked at as a LB, he was behind guys like Tre Williams, Raekwon McMillon and few others and there was some serious talk that he could be odd man out

If Muschamp really feels like SDjr isn't a fit, whatever don't take him.

Since the kid clearly has a ton of options though, I'd rather wait at least till after summer camps are over to make that decision. I just can't wait for us to hear a month from signing day how we are trying to get back in it for SDjr because we reevaluated and liked him more

Do we know for sure Jr is not being pursued by Muschamp? I'm just wondering because I have seen this hand wringing and gnashing of teeth many times before, and it was much ado about nothing.

Nope but it is more fun to bicker about us screwing an AU legacy that is a top 100 recruit

Muschamp can suck my chode if he doesn't take SDjr. just because he's a tweener at age 16 or 17. Odds are once he grows into a position he'll be a damn stud muffin at it. Odds are also that if we sign SDjr. that he would spend most of his career at AU without Muschump who'll have moved on.

Just sign Davis Jr. and one extra Safety than we were planning. Bring Davis Jr in as an ATH and cross train him all over for a year until he finds a home.

We have everything to gain by bringing him in and nothing to lose except potentially a chunk of hair we pull out when we see him walk across the stage as a top 10 draft out of freaking Clemson or USCe

Kid seems to be a stud athlete, is a legacy of an AU star and potentially projects at other positions

Sounds about right that AU is dropping him

I just seem to remember that the kid has previously said that he wants to play S and wants no part of transitioning to another position.

Is my memory here incorrect? And, if not, could the current separation between the kid and AU be partially the kid's doing?

Maybe AU *is* trying to convince him to play LB and he doesn't want to?

Is this plausible or has there been evidence to indicate otherwise?

Since when do coaches recruit a kid and not lie about projected position?

Kris Frost, Rudy Ford, Jason Smith, 50% of OTs and Kam Pettway all come to mind just from our team
