one thing I'm really, really liking about recruits considering both us and Bama is that they all feel that AU gives them the better shot for more early PT. I continually hear this from DL recruits. Which actually makes me laugh because our DL is absolutely better than Bama's, and deeper. Anyone who would argue otherwise is a liar. But hey, if it lands us some 'croots, hells yeah!
I don't think it has to do with us having better DL than Bama. I think it has more to do with us building immediate playing depth as opposed to depth for the future as most teams do. If you are in the 3 deep on any DL spot at AU we have shown if you can bring quality to the table then we will play you in your first year. Garner likes playing 12 guys if he can. And instead of burning out the starters they get around 40-45 snaps on the high end as opposed to 60 or more. They are able to be fresher and have a higher ratio of impact plays. I have seen a number of recruits discuss this and be excited about it even if it's only 15-20 snaps a game.

Sorry. Fixed the OP. I had to filter google to find 2013 highlights because his Hudle highlights are private. I did not look at the name that came up in the search results. Oops.

4* RB and LSU commit Nicholas Brossette is visiting AU today. Highlights

Looks like he's got his two brothers and mom here too. Just saw him in the Chick-Fil-A line.

Didn't think he was a RB when I saw him.

Looked like a short Olineman. Also thought he was like a Freshman/Sophmore in High school instead of a senior.

Per AUC LINK

-3* LB/S Montavious Atkinson is definitely a take for AU at Safety/Star
-AU plans to take 8 total combined between DBs & LBs with it being 2 CBs, 2 LBs, 2 Stars, & 2-3 safeties w/ safety being the most important
-Roundtree is the #1 Free Safety target while Colbert is the #1 Boundary safety or Star target
-Staff wants both badly
-4* CB Darius Slayton is #1 or #2 on the AU board at CB
-3* OT George Brown Jr is not a take for AU ATM
-Jacques Patrick is the #2 RB on the AU board behind Kerryon. He's #1 on the FSU RB board

How well does atkinson run? He seems to have good length for the position, but does he have much speed?

How old are his brothers? Did they bring Coach Cam with them? Or any other LSU staff member?

Are you guys posting this YOU KNOW WHERE? Or is that a suicide mission?

Garner has been to Langston Hughes HS a ton. He has seen them play and practice. If speed were even a question he would not be a "take" right now.

I have been told Slayton loves us for over a year now by a family member at G.A.C.S. Barring some crazy business I believe this will end well.

Those are ?s for KK or Jonesy if they stop by. They are the best evaluators on our site that I know of.

I would assume so as well. Just hard to really judge based off of his tape, considering he is mostly in the box. Don't get to see him much in the open field.

I hope so. His tape is nasty.

Just watched Atkinson's film for the first time and he's a baaaaaaaad man! I don't see how he's not a 4*. I think he has a motto he lives out in every play. "Somebody gonna get hit!" I think he's the physical run supporting Star CEJ has been looking for. Also he camped at AU last June so I'm sure they know how he is in the open field.

Everybody here is the best evaluator of talent! Every kid gets evaluated seven ways to Sunday!

But seriously, the kid can run. Doesn't take much quote-unquote evaluator talent to look at his film and see him running around the field with the other players.

Why isn't he on the Commit List then? He loves us (#1, dream school, etc.) and he's a take ... What am I missing?

eta: Why was there no talk of DWalker's visit? MA get more attention? Bad vibes? No talk here or rivals. Weird.

We already have one too many Stephen A Smiths in this world. We don't need another one.

His buddy Walker is still checking out 'the G'. LOL

They are pretty close and I think they would like to play together. So he is going to give Walker some time to let things shake out for him.

#Auburn offers 2015 Elite LB Leo Lewis (Brookhaven HS, MS)
Meaningless, keeping up with the Joneses, due diligence offer. But if it gives the bammers even a modicum of anxiety over this kid then it's a primo offer! The melt will sweet when he stays in-state.

Believing a kid will immediately commit to his dream school as soon as he is a take is one of the biggest and most incorrect myths in recruiting and I really don't even know where this thought process comes from. We have had a number of kids over the years say AU was their dream school or say AU was the 1 offer they are waiting on. Very few of them committed immediately, some not at all, and still others lost their spot by waiting to long to try to commit and the staff moved on.

Hoke did not talk to him for Rivals. AUC did talk to him last night but there was nothing new or post worth in the interview so nothing was posted other than he plans to commit at the Army AA Game next year and Auburn, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee are recruiting him the hardest.

Common sense.

I don't believe you.

A recruiting service that doesn't talk to a 4* visiting recruit. Sound business practice.
