D'Andre Walker is one of a handful of stud DE's in GA. May be my favorite. Plays under control and doesn't overrun plays often like many HS DE's are want to do.

He's a close #2 behind Natrez Patrick, but we'd happily take both, and more.

Agreed KK, just seems like Patrick needs a flea collar.

In other news Kaleb Kim has us numero uno!! Is looking to decide soon per Crusty Rusty @ 247.

¡Qué bueno! I really like him. Plays with attitude and has a streak.

re: D'Andre Walker
From a VolQuest article yesterday about his Tennessee visit:
quote:

"Georgia and Auburn are kind of standing out. I'm going back to Auburn next and I'm going to see South Carolina," Walker said.

DE, he is going to be a stud wherever he goes, Kim as well.

My UGA buddies are all , they have been speaking of Kim like he had already committed to them. I bet Rusty wasn't expecting that answer.

I'm assuming we are hoping he will come in and work like Dee Ford? He has a lot of weight to gain to play DE.

Well to be fair most FR DL need time in a S&C program before hitting the field, but your assumption is duly noted.

Kim played very well last year against Lorenzo Carter and Dante Sawyer, as well as a great showing at the Elite JR game.

Well, yea, but most sites have Walker at 6'2 and around 200-215 lbs

Did not say. That's why I asked him to get an interview with Kirk.

That may be true but the kid has proved himself in the camp curcuit and was MVP of at least 1 camp last year.

Walker addressed this in the interview Mock linked
quote:

I would like to play defensive end...I can stop the run, but my thing is getting after the quarterback....Weight is pretty easy to put on.

I like his attitude, but good weight isn't that easy to put on

Bad weight, however

A UGA 247 post for your reading pleasure
quote:

So as of right now, we lose Hyatt to Clemson, Chuma potentially to Tennessee and now Kim to Auburn. This has the potential to be the most depressing recruiting scenario we've ever experienced if we wind up losing three top notch OL talent like this. I just don't get why we can't succeed at attracting the top OL talent, especially those that are in state.
over dramatize much...
