I never understood the importance of reach without coverage skills.

14th in the nation in sacks allowed per pass play ratio.

Well we run a crap load of bubble screens and one read deep balls to Coates/slants to Duke with Marshall. His escapability helps those numbers too.

I would assume JJ will have more of a traditonal passing game and be asked to go through progressions.

Again, having an elite LT >>>>>>> not having one.

Goes along the same philosophy some have in sports of finding the best athletes and teach them the skills instead of find the best technicians who are athletic. The mindset is can't teach reach.

There are not that many progressions to Guis's pass O. He makes as simple as he can for the QB.

Obviously but that was not your original statement. Your statement was of needing Tez or Chidi which we don't.

I don't believe anyone but you has realized the emphasis on exceptional rush ends and therefore, the significance of having exceptional OTs.

by that philosophy we need the top 25 prospects in the nation

I'll say again that we're failing to see the difference in want and need

Yeah I wanted to say, "Nawww1 Really??? Are you sure? I had not thought of that before.". But I figured I'd be nice. This would have sufficed too.

Apparently, we couldn't teach coverage to the reach guys either.

I disagree. Of course, I have higher hopes than 8-4.

Well we are about to start throwing the ball more a LT is pretty damn important.

Shon Coleman is a carbon copy of Greg Robinson, bra. And my guess is his college career will take on a similar trajectory. Last yr was SC's first yr in college and first time playing fb in about 2-3 years. SC has insane athleticism, frame, reach and strength. He has to REALLY refine his game and work on technique though, which is exactly what GRob had to do.

Man we really need one of Chidi or Martez.

This is the statement that started it all. Then Ellitor said we didn't need them.

It's the basis of the entire argument
