After the whole Yeldon/Liner thing I can't believe anything that the big time in state guys say. I'm not one of those that says we give up on the state (quite the opposite actually), but it's happened enough over the past three years to remain skeptical.

I truly believe that Dee Liner was coming to Auburn until we Chizik'd all over this past season.

It is like Texas A&M last year, they exploded onto the scene and all the sudden, all the big time players who never would have gone to A&M in the state are seriously having interest. Momentum, good recruiters and no depth chart clogging are powerful recruiting tools

(From Joel Erickson Free article)

Ellis Johnson says our LBs need to be between 6'1 and 6'4, 230-250 lbs, and if they're outside that range they "better be special". Also says that the numbers are such that if our current players "grow and produce" LB won't be a big need this recruiting class.

Frost, Holland, and McKinzy are all right at the size range listed. Garrett and Mitchell are well under (215 and 210, listed). I still think Mitchell gets a long look at Star if he can get coverage figured out. Garrett may be a player without a position going forward.

Toney and Flowers coming in are 6'2, 225 and 6'3, 225. So after a few months of AU strength and conditioning they'll both be in the range Johnson named.

If we have a solid year with good run production I think we can pull him. The fact he is showing interest in AU shows he understands the logjam at RB at Bama.

I love predictions...

Have you not learned anything

I'm pretty sure our current staff found out that he was going to flip really late in the process and made sure it happened quicker than it was going to otherwise. And kind of on a side note, Dee really fits a 3-4 end better than any position on a four man front, IMO. He was too big and bulky to play DE, but he still needed to put on 25-30 pounds to play in the middle. He was going to be a bit of a project for us, and as it turned out for us on the DL, we should be fine if those guys come in and work hard, stay healthy and out of trouble.

This is not a prediction on our year, it is a statement of if. Momentum in recruiting goes a long way Lanier

One of those names is not like the other (If he is 230+ then I am 6'4 240 of chiseled man)

I could be wrong but I think holland is around 240, no?

I don't think his problem is size

Yeah, he's listed at 241. He's big enough for the position.

Jake Holland may be listed at 240 but as someone who has been around him more than a few times, he is no more tgan 6` 215-220

Yep. There is a picture pf him an Toney on a visit. Toney is suppose to be 230 and is much bigger than holland. If Holland is 241, Toney is 260

A Player who has the Immokalee tackles record over a career at LB and the athletic build of a strong safety, was there a doubt he is playing the Spur?

Not for a center. Same size as Ryan Pugh.

6'1 is fine for a center as long as he has a frame to hold 300 pounds and still have good feet. Dismukes is actually taller than most of our centers in recent memory and he's only 6'3.
