Seems like we came from nowhere on Tyler Queen. What's the story with that? Accepting that we need a backup plan for Harris and Watson?
And Gavin Bryant apparently didn't have "committable offers" from UF or Bama, so I'm dubious about how good he actually is.

The question is not who doesn't have a committable offer from bamma but who does. They offer fracking everybody. Like Cryer at OSU. I don't care who goes to Florida. When do we play them again? I'll care when we flip to the East. Ha.
Queen's a '15 guy. "Experts" have ratcheted recruiting up a notch pushing '15 guys on us -- letting these kids horn in on '14 guys' 15 minutes.

He's a 2015 recruit. Has nothing to do with Harris and Watson. We need a QB a year until someone proves themself.

Gavin Bryant is a good player from the homestate who odds are wont qualify

I'm aware we've got our LB commits and targets lined up but, dang, this is a good player, from the home state, that we've just opened the door for.
He couldn't have committed to AU if he wanted to...Bama either.
Other than Evans, there aren't any LBs we'd take a commit from other than if an elite guy we aren't currently recruiting decided to come.

quote:If he comes in January he keeps his 2013 initial counter spot. If it's next summer or fall then he counts in both the 2013 and 2014 initial counter limits of 25. You don't technically lose a scholly if you are up against the initial counter limit you just give the scholly to a walk on instead of signing another player.
Do we lose a scholly if he doesn't make it to school?

JC Hassenauer just committed to Alabama. He is a center. Sounds good for Auburn and Josh Casher.

Not if you wander on over to the bama board. They're going to take both!

Solid Free read on Brandon Harris from his rankings move LINK
• QB-DT Brandon Harris makes the biggest jump, if we can all it that, with his debut in the rankings at No. 48. We liked him early and had we released an ESPN 300 in April, he would have been just outside the ESPN 150, but we didn't have a lot to go on, which is why he had that grade back then. Now we have seen him several times and he is right up there with Watson. Watson might be a little more polished; Harris has the better arm.

We ought to get his last visit and be fresh in his mind, like really fresh, before he decides.

Harris has a tentative visit date of July 10th. I like that it's only a week before his announcement

Didn't want to start a enw thread
Watching a highlight film of the 2007 UF v AU game.
Commentator said at one point after we won that Auburn had won 9/10 versus AP top 10 teams and after that game Tubs was 4-0 again AP Top 5 teams
Holy shite
I never really appreciated Tubs' ability to win big ones and play below shitty competition

Per JH.

BM went a step further on the E-Rob sitch. JH said community college may be an option for him, which does not affect playing eligibility in terms of the years you have. BM just said CC is not an option for E-Rob and he would have to go juco, which does affect eligibility. If you go juco you have to be there 2 years.
