I see him starting game 1. He's just better than anyone we have, outside of Dee Ford, and he's physically ready. Leach is obviously air raid, so I see him starting due to his pass rushing

Normally I would say that almost no one along the DLine can/should start as a freshman unless they are one o kind athletes (Clowney). Most people cannot handle the increased physical competition in strength and speed of the SEC along the line without college S&C and more refined technical ability at the position

Considering Carl is at 260+ of seemingly good/great weight and his trainer (fricking vol) is actually pretty top notch, that adjustment period won't be as long.

As long as Garner can work his magic in the first few weeks and teach him some advanced hand placement and footwork, I wouldn't be surprised if Carl starts/ sees a lot of early playing time

A good 230 or a Kiehl 230?

This made me for some reason

Nevertheless, I may be the only person hoping Johnson Redshirts this season to help with our depth and experience. I dont want us to ever be left with the Herp Derp Cam's Part Deaux as our options at QB (that's Clint "Crying Cam" Mosely and Kiehl "Mocha Nightmare Cam" Frazier for any newbs)

Also, I've been wanting to ask about Dashun Watson for a couple of days. According this article from the AJC, he will only take an official to Clemson i.e. Dabo's Dumb arse begged him not to visit anywhere else, especially SEC schools. However, despite Dabo's tears, Auburn and other schools continue to heavily recruit him. According to the article, Lashlee is pushing him for a Big Cat visit.

So what are our chances of getting a visit or pulling a Freezus and flipping him ala Nkimed?

I really hope we redshirt him too. Chizik destroyed the notion of using redshirts to provide depth though

Watson seems to be really solid to Clemson. RN never was super solid to Clemson. I mean he only committed after they offered all his friends and he still was on the fence. People thought he was going to flip all recruiting cycle

I only know what I read about Watson but he seems a lot more firm in his commitment, has been committed for years and fits their system realy well. He is going to play like Tahj Boyd for them.

He'll take a long, hard look at us after Chad Morris takes an HC job, just watch.

I didnt realize he committed as a sophmore until I read the article. I do think the similarities in our system gets our foot in the door but outside of Dabo going full Dabo (which is possible), it will be an uphill battle *Yes, Chad Morris leaving Clemson would also help :crossesfingers:

I just want us to have a couple of good QB's stacked in the cupboard

If that were to somehow miraculously occur, the battle for starter in 2015 would begin. Deshaun Watson being a redshirt freshman, while Jeremy Johnson is a redshirt sophomore.

All of this is based on Nick Marshall being successful for 2 years.

Where would Chad Morris go? He wasn't up for anything this year really

This would be the most beautiful prediction ever written on this board

Auburn would need a miracle for that to occur, sadly.

If his offense clicks again this season (there's no reason to expect otherwise), he'll be up for the job openings that pop up after the season. Being a disciple of Gus, I assume he really wants to become a HC, and if there is a good situation, he'd probably take it

For whatever reason, UGA was the first school that popped to my mind as a possible destination for Morris.

A move like that would hurt us more than help but if UGA actually got the balls to fire Richt I could see them trying to make an outside the box hire

I expect UGA to be just as good this year and possibly win the East. He's not getting canned anytime soon

Richt was one game away from a NC appearance last year, I don't think he is getting fired anytime soon.

Also, they would make a run at Kirby Smart before they thought of Chad Morris. That is for coordinators

UGA is one of the best postitions in the country though. Unbelievable recruiting grounds, Georgia for the home turf and can reach into Florida and Alabama 3 of the top 10 states for recruiting

Dominant program in the state (unless you include Auburn as west GA)

Good record of tradition but still have a lot of room for growth as they haven't a NC in 30+ years. Winning a NC and then not pulling a Chizik will secure you a spot as a top coach in their history

One of the easisest and best programs in the country to walk into

Everything you say is 100% correct which I why think a guy like Morris with an SEC level DC would be lethal and would bring youth and energy to Athens

Like I said, it would hurt us more than help us which I why they I hope Richt stays at UGA forever and Saban arse eventually quits. Time for some things to start going Auburns way

I could have sworn he interviewed at a couple of places albeit not big schools.

Even if uga didn't win a game and Richt got canned, there's absolutely no way they hire Morris. Maybe in 5-10 years from now after he's had some coaching experience, but it's not gonna happen anytime soon.

With their AD being a Foley disciple, I think it could happen. He did just hire a coordinator for the schools biggest sport.

And I think Morris will be a great HC when he gets his shot.
