Over on the bammer board, bammers have been psyched about Jakell since he got the offer from them. One has now said, "It seems like JMitchell is (bammer's) to lose." This because of the excerpt below.
He likes Gus's system and the pace and what he does with TEs (why, I don't know, because he doesn't use them, at least not in the passing game!). He's coming to BCW and a lot of people think we'll get his commitment. I doubt it, just now. Bammer got his attention, might have his allegiance, and they'd probably use him about like we would, taking his size into account. That is, he'll not be an inline TE.
I remember Charles Clay being used a lot at Tulsa, and iirc he was about 6'3" 240, which I bet Jakell could come close to being. I think CC had more speed, but I might be wrong.
Anybody got any idea who's going to commit next weekend? I was thinking Cortez McDowell and some 3*s like GGreen, DSanders, maybe a surprise visitor. But Ellitor has written that Cortez is holding off on announcing till maybe after the season.
Sorry if long, but I've got the baseball game on another tab and we've just taken the lead, 4-3 then 5-3 now, just now, 6-3 on Ebert's second RBI of the day, so I'm just mindlessly typing shite, trying not to click back on the video. 8-3! still not looking. 7 run inning so far. Or rather 9-3! Did we score on the Texas Leaguer, before the rundown tagout? 9fricking3. Probably going to the Regionals now. No jinx.

"I grew up an Auburn fan but the older I got, the more I started to become an Alabama fan," Mitchell said. "I started to see players on that team every year at different positions that just amazed me, guys that I really tried to be like when I played. I studied them a lot and picked up little things from all of them that have helped me become a better player."
"I figured they're winning championships pretty much every year and they're all getting drafted so you know they must be doing something right."

Somebody always got to play the Rice card.
on WR Jesse Jackson, Grimes was there to see the 2015 OL. Melvin Smith is Jacson's lead recruiter. Bryan Matthews made a mistake on Jackson's profile but corrected it.

5-star DE Lorenzo Carter told me he will try to visit AU this summer, probably in July. Right now, Bama and UGA are the only teams assured of making his top 5. So at least getting him on campus is big.
Uphill battle but that's a start.
UF, FSU and Clemson also in the hunt.
More good news .... 4 star LB Kevin Mouhon and 4 star RB/ATH Myles Autry will visit with him.
Mouhon is. Vols lean. Autry is wide open.

Adam Choice named Auburn and Clemson as his top 2.

They have taken their fair share from us. Mostly DBs which we need badly.
Travis Blanks, Mackensie Alexander and Mike Bellamy all come to mind of people we thought we either had in the bag or were in the lead for and went Clemson

Were we ever really in it for him? I didn't think so.

Yeah, I think it was Clemson vs Florida for Mike Bellamy...
Where is he, BTW?
ETA: Kicked out of Clemson for grades, kicked out of EMCC for undisclosed team rules broken, and only had 31 carries for East Arizona College.

New interview with Dante posted today. LINK
A key thing to remember here is while Bama and UGA are his top 2 he fits much better in a 4 man front line and therefore does not have commitable offers from either school.

Roc Thomas is in AU right now with his parents.
Also, Shannon Terry, the CEO of 247, predicted him to AU a few days back. Sitting 57/43 our way right now in the crystal ball predictions.
He'll be back for BCV
