have they aways had a good football team?

no... it's only been recently they've been a player in 6A... In my lifetime, Opelika has been the better program.... and Central Phenix City, for that matter.

i attended ben russell several years ago... we were in an area with AHS, OHS, and Central.... AHS was the weakest of the four programs.

I'm not sure Opelika's gonna be able to do anything big anymore. They've been a trainwreck since McCracken left and they might have to drop down to 5A before too long.

Just going back through the thread:

Landrum to FB is a surprise. I actually mentioned him as a guy to watch for in the 2 deep at MLB because of how much he has physically developed in the last two years. I don't know exactly why they moved him other than they wanted depth there for the new offense but I'll see if I can find out.

Also, as expected, Clint is #2. I tried to brace you guys for this a week or more ago. There's just no way that it can happen otherwise. As of right now, I think Wallace would get the nod if Frazier went down but for the purposes of filling out a depth chart, Clint just has to be #2.

Florence is going to have about a week to make his case to move up the depth chart because he was essentially cleared today to do everything again. I think if he's prepared mentally that he could make an impression before then.

That's all I've got

A lot of people here kicked around the idea that Clint would be third string. Essentially, he is, but the depth chart won't say so.

So is Wallace that good or is Clint in that bad of shape?

Wallace has shown he can run the offense at a successful enough level to get the nod before Clint until Clint's throwing arm because serviceable again. Realistically, though, Clint might not be able to get his arm back without some major surgery.

It's both. Wallace is better and Moseley...not going to say anything.

Pretty obvious, he wasn't getting "it" at linebacker...

I hope he can find a way to contribute at fullback. If not, he might not be around much longer.
