There is a time and place for Heath to voice his opinion..this is not the right time nor place and it hurts AU more than anything.

good point...but i'm glad he's saying it. This shite really cannot be tolerated.

But like you said...wish he wasn't saying it today.

I used to have that opinion if him but the way he's been vocal about AU lately has slowly changed my mind. If he has concern I'd much rather him contact the Athletic Dept or Malzahn before going to mouth off to the media during a crucial recruiting time.

If I'm Gus, first thing Thursday is I get Heath on the line, and get him on the same page as the rest of the program.

Heath's problem's lie more with the previous staff than this one, and I feel that if given the opportunity, Heath would be a great resource for us. Bring him in to talk to the team, etc.

That's my thoughts on the matter.

By former players and media members.

And I'm sure the NFL Network will take your concerns into consideration.

Yeah I don't have a problem with him saying it, I have a problem with the timing of him saying it and the outlet he used to say it.

We have no idea how the coaching staff has handled this and that is probably for the best. Heath going on the radio likely doesn't have any impact on whether ignorance is tolerated or not.

I don't think RD should be smeared unless someone with first hand information is willing to put their name to witnessing it. Too serious of an accusation to believe based on hearsay and internet fodder in the middle of recruiting wars in Alabama.

another good point, but taking it on it's face, so i've chosen to believe it, then i say it cant' be tolerated. what that means, i don't really know...i'm still in the shooting from the hip stage.

It is tough, because this is an anonymous message board, so it is tempting to discuss the matter. It just seems that the more it is discussed, the more people just default into to believing some version of events without much evidence.

I agree, racist comments among players, no matter the circumstances, is not to be tolerated. I just don't think plastering the story on the radio based on hearsay is a responsible thing for someone to do if no one is willing to put their name to the story.

I think he should be kicked off the team for good, if it happened. Can't have trash like this from the start, if you are Gus.

I wouldn't kick him off, but steep punishments are a must. Maybe even a suspension.

does anyone just find it hard to believe reese would have not been injured if he had called reuben what he is being accused of calling him?

I just feel like today if you say something like that you are lucky if you don't get your arse kicked, no matter how big you are. I mean there were probably other really big black people there right? they all just sit there and take it too? you call one black person the n-word you might as call the rest it too, because they are all likely going to beat your arse, as they should

I don't think there's anything else left to say on this matter

Only if the team will take him back. You can't have a guy like that in your locker room. Not good for the team.

I'm guessing two of them were Lawson and Monty Adams, two kids likely to sign with us.. which would make the N word part of the story hard to believe.

Wasn't really talking to you directly. I'm just tired of this story.

saturday when he left i didn't believe it, i'm still not sure i do. But the reports are starting seem to get a bit (i stress a bit) more credible.

I agree with that. I'd be happy hearing that dismukes was kicked off the team or is suspended for 3 games or something for 'violation of team rules' and then thinking back on these rumors and feeling confident in the specualtion as to why action was taken against him.
