The ones who agreed to let John L. Smith come in and be HC instead of having one of them be Interim.

247 just posted a story about assistants visiting Trey Johnson, Earnest Robinson, and Carl Lawson. Keeping Lawson is huge I think. Behind our current ends, which are all Jrs (Sanders, Egaue, Ford, Owens, and Lemonier IF he even decides to stay) it seems like we signed nothing but projects under them.

I hope the new coach brings another linebacker recruit with him and keeps Foster and Toney and just rescinds the offer to Davis. If you ask me, he just decommitted by saying that he most likely would.

Anyone follow JaQuay Williams on Twitter? He seems like an attention whore with all the RTs of fans trying to get him to commit to different schools. Really annoying.

He's a shithead because he makes some random guy on twitter think he is going to commit to a certain school when he's actually not? You need a new perspective.

Seriously? Rescind his offer because he might decommit while we have no coach? I've been a die hard AU fan all my life and would be saying the same thing if we had no coach.

No. I would rescind his offer because saying that you most likely will decommit is the same as saying that you are. Most likely going to decommit is no commitment.
As for the twitter trolling, yes. All of them trolling and fricking with fans just because they can are shitheads.

Would you take a recruit that decommits right now and commits when the new coach comes back? It's basically the same thing. I don't get why you're getting so mad at these recruits.

Why? What are they harming besides a grown man's feelings who is too invested in the kid's decision anyways?

Jeremy Johnson's season is over. Carver falls to Opelika at home 21-35 in the one of the craziest endings to a game I've ever seen.
1:30 left, Jeremy Johnson & Co. on the Opelika 10 yardline, down 21-27. Intercepted in the endzone, taken all the way back to the house for a TD. Opelika goes for 2 and makes it. 35-21. Carver gets the ball back, drives down the the 30 against a junk-prevent defense, and throws another pick with 22 seconds left. Ball game.
Opelika headed to the state championship versus Hoover

Jeremy Johnson also says right now he's still committed to Auburn. He'll make a decision later.

Lawson's father says they ultimately want Carl to sign with Auburn. They really want Pelton back but did say that isn't the only reason Carl is committed to AU.
Derrick Green is said to still have Auburn as the leader after the Luper visit to the 5* on Thursday.. if Luper is retained then odds are he will sign with Auburn.
JaQuay wants to visit AU after a coach is hired.. no matter who is retained.

Bring in Petrino, have him keep Troop and Luper around for a year to keep this class together, then can them to bring in his own guys in year two.
This class has the opportunity to be special.

he said the other day that he was going to stick around to see who the new coach was or go to Utah next week if no one was in place by then. He is an EE guy that has to be in school in a few weeks is what the rush is with him.
