I see in the box score we played Tray Tate at Center and Cole Blackstock (not Cole Stockton) at Forward. Who the hell are they?

Alabama is a pretty good team. That's the difference

With a lot of luck. Bama basketball always has luck. This year was the first time in almost a decade that they had a fair start to their conference schedule. They go to Florida and just bore them into a bad shooting night? BS. That team ran WVU out of their building. Luckily, their main offense is finally gone. Avery Johnson did a nice job displaying Obasohan, but he's gone. I guess it's all about image. Pearl has to finally get us a point where people fear and respect Auburn basketball.

It's not luck when you're as good defensively as they are. They do a really good job of forcing teams into bad looks and slowing the game to suit their offensive ability.

They also haven't lost 4 of their top 6 players. Anthony Grant didn't leave the cupboard bare

Coke Blackstock came from the Florence Alabama area( Killen) and I never heard of him until yesterday. None of my friends had heard of him either. I've been out of pocket a year or two but good basketball players are usually talked about in that area.

I don't really keep up with our #basketballschool but I saw this on reddit...has this been discussed? Obviously his suspension and departure has been discussed but do we know the reasons for it?

quote:

I have some information on Auburn and Kareem Canty that I thought you would like to look into. Kareem Canty and Auburn did not part ways in agreement. Kareem Canty was forced out of Auburn due to an assault against a female student, along with pulling a knife on teammate. Kareem Canty was originally set to be suspended two games due to telling Stephen Pearl to frick off and the only reason he had the job was due to his father was. When Kareem Canty assaulted the female student, his suspension was changed to indefinite. The assault was caught on video and this video is in possession of the Auburn Police Department. Kareem Canty was set to meet with Auburn's Title IX director, along with Auburn University. After pulling a knife on a teammate and the fact that he did not want the video to be played at the hearing, Auburn University forced him out of South Donahue and he agreed to remove himself from the university. He did not simple see this as the time for him to leave Auburn

I usually don't like saying stuff like insider and jazz but I know for a fact he pulled a knife on Dunans. No idea the situation that caused it but two people I know that work with the bball team were there. I absolutely hate when people say that but for once I actually have that kind of info

I had not heard about the assault charge. If that's true then ya that dude needs to be gone. He wasted a great chance at AU

Unfortunately, all of that is true. But I don't totally fault him for the assault. The bitch he hit is bat shite crazy.

Doesn't matter if she's crazy or not.

I still fault him for hitting a woman. I'm just not sure that I could have had restraint either.

Jeebus in a few weeks people will be saying he shot someone. None of it is true. He got into a shouting match with a coach and was suspended because of it. His pride wouldn't allow him to admit he was wrong and do the things asked of him to get back into good graces so he left. He did get into a verbal altercation with Dunans but it never moved past that.

You talking about Fagan? Yeah she's not the most trustworthy of people with the Canty situation, at least not from the vibes I get. Roomie was trying to hit on her pretty hard there for a while and got all tied up in it. It's way too much drama to even want to get involved with, but assuming she's not lying, Canty is lucky to avoid getting charged.

But who the frick really knows.

Hope that is true. I had no idea about the assault stuff but I had heard about altercation with Dunans that had gotten real nasty. Like I said I am not one to usually do that insider bullshite just had actually heard from 2 people that would have had access

The only thing that does seem 100% true is that he needed off the team and blew a great chance for his career
