Will it be another legitimate sellout and can we turn our focus quickly to a surprisingly solid team and win it too?

I think the students will be there, but the rest of the crowd kinda lacks during the mid-week games. I'm worried we'll be hung over from today. Honestly, I'll be surprised if we win it. Hope Canty's ankle is ok.

It's one that we really need so hopefully Bruce can get that through to them.

Sorry about the lack of updating the schedule in the OP. Charter came by yesterday and reattached my Internet so I'll get it up here in the next day or so

Yep Bruce is really worried about Canty. Said he was starting him on treatment tonight and probably wouldn't practice him. We are sunk if he can't go.

Oh well. They're getting a ton of experience at least. Hopefully Pearl has found something with the defense and rotation. Maybe leave Granger and Bowers in the starting lineup so Spencer can come off the bench and not get in foul trouble. It was nice to see them not get forced into stupid fouls for once.

If you are in ATL or Birmingham, you get home at 1-2am on a weeknight. It is hard to justify for avg performances

We just need to do a better job of those people selling or donating tickets. Sick of 80% of seats being filled and scholarship/courtside being 20%

I was working while this game was going on. I kept looking at the score and telling myself, "let's not get excited yet, it's still early".

Incredible win for the team.

We got fricked in the arse by a fork that year.
No we didn't. We didn't deserve to make it. We were 62 in the RPI & 3-12 in road + neutral games that season. No team w/ an RPI in the 60s has ever been an at large team & teams in the 50s don't make it too often. Also no team 9 games under .500 in road & neutral games has never made the dance as an at large. You typically have to be no worse than 3 games under on road & neutral to make it.

vs Oklahoma State
They are pretty tame this year. Their RPI is 156 & includes a loss versus RPI 215 Mizzou St. Yes we could loss it but that game is hardly considered brutal.

I couldn't watch live yesterday and put off watching the game until this morning. Imagine my surprise to find out we didn't suck

Did you know the final score before you watched it?

I had no idea. I always make sure to stay away from anything that might show a score if I can't watch something live

They were the first 1 left out, the last 4 was garbage featuring teams that weren't playing well, and you say no way they should have been in? You don't 'have' to be anything. It was about lack of respect. They only had two true road OOC games, none of them were bad losses, and were extremely close games against tournament teams. Anybody with eyes could see they weren't the team that started the season though, and were easily one of the 35-40 best teams. They peaked in conference. Do you not remember who they put in that year over Auburn? Teams that had similar RPI's, an impressive non-conference, but sucked arse the rest of the season in conference. Hugely contradicting. We were also the first SEC team in history to not get a bid with double digit conference wins. I can't count on one hand the amount of big RPI wins we had the last month of that season. They just simply put more stock in OOC that season than teams that peaked when they were supposed to.

That team was playing really well towards the end of the year. They were the last fun team we've had to watch.

Anything else about Canty?

Without him, it is hard to see Auburn having much of a chance against Alabama.

Not a chance. I just hope we come out with a good game plan and don't commit stupid fouls. Bama still plays a boring style and lulls other teams to sleep, and they hit their shots now. Losing to them at home in Avery's first year would take the luster off beating Kentucky. Can't believe we're 80 in RPI. Pearl really is a genius when it comes to OOC schedules.
