10 Second Runoff

Never knew that was a rule when the refs screwed up the spot and had to review that we would get a 10 second runoff because we didn’t have a timeout.

Not like it would have really mattered but I never heard of that happening before.

Yeah that's a stupid rule. Penalizing an offense because the refs made the wrong spot.

Very weird rule considering there could easily be plays where the player is downed and then the ball is snapped/spiked in under 10 seconds

If Auburn had a timeout would they have charged them with a timeout?

That stoppage of play gave both teams rest so it’s not like it was much, if any, advantage to Auburn.

It was just really strange.

Yes we would have had to call a time out to keep from the 10 second run off.

Stupid rule in my opinion
