Not a terrible analogy but Bruce was trying to build something out of absolutely nothing. He also didn't have the benefit of the portal. Again I'm not really criticizing freeze and I'm ready to see what happens next year with recruiting. I just think so far he has been average on and off the field

For those wondering where Auburn stands today in relation to their most imminent foe. We are playing Arkansas and their offense is rated 75th in scoring while Auburn is rated 69th. Their Pass Offense is 99th in the nation and their rushing offense is 94th. Yeah our passing offense might suck but at least our rushing offense is 23rd!

Their coach has been there and they started the season with the best backfield in the SEC.

Now, that is a disaster.

Welp, we got to put this conversation on hold then.

I think the averages look better by the end of the year and Freeze starts making some pitches. If I am wrong I am wrong.

Really interested to see how this goes this weekend. If we go into Arkansas, even this ark, and win and then at least show well against bama and win whatever low tier bowl we get in that's something to build on. If we lose to ark and look like crap on offense doing it then we are still stuck in neutral. So far we have won all the games we should have and lost the ones we should have. This is the biggest tossup on the schedule. I hate they got a shot in the arm winning in Gainesville yesterday

That would be a damn good first season. If Payton pulls his head out of the arse and some of the wide receivers pull their weight and help him out then we have a chance. Especially the receivers like Hooks and Rivaldo that have mostly been ineffective despite being billed to have big impact in a....positive way.

Wasn’t their top RB out with an injury for a few games? Rocket Sanders I think.

Yeah he was hurt or fake hurt until Enos was fired as OC (an actual rumor). He wasn't doing anything before the injury though, and the backs behind him didnt have any success at all.

We have improved from last year. We were gifted the Mizzou game at home. Caddy and the fans helped get us a win over a lackluster TAMU team, but we only scored 13. The offense is improving. We should make a bowl. We have gone from Vandy level recruiting to getting flips and 5 stars. The trajectory is up my friends.

Ah, didn’t hear that rumor. Interesting. They still look to be a tough out for us, especially in Fayetteville. I’m with you though, it would be nice to see our offense put a complete game together for once.

Thorne throwing more accurately and receivers consistently catching. That could really open up the run attack for Battie, Alston, and Cox to go along with what Cowboy has been doing. I think that would in return help our defense stay motivated and continue what they have been doing.

Would be nice heading towards the IB with 7 wins and solid play.
