Easily Upton over Uggla. At least uggla had a positive WAR in his time here (2.4), while Melvin/BJ had a -2.1 WAR here.

I'm 99% positive that the team doesn't pay that. The money is put into a contract (like an annuity) and the contract pays the player out over time. Think of it as a bond (pun not intended). The risk is not on the team. It is on whomever is issuing the bond.

Obviously not on the roster but he made a bigger salary than anyone else
on the Braves.
