They sacked up when they needed to. Feels good to be tied for first

Oliver hit was A+. He played pretty poorly all game, but ended up making the game saving hit. Good for him.
Great to see Neal and Rico on the field as well. Those guys are smart football players.

we all knew how big it was to lose those guys last year, but dammit if last night didn't magnify that even more for me. We had some incredible individual performances last night between those guys, Deion, Trufant and Grady. We also hit the QB 10 times so credit to the entire DL.

From the last 4 games of the 2016 regular season, all the way to the end of 2017, the Falcons had a top-10 defense.
Injuries happen, but I do think people forget this was a really fast, opportunistic team.
Personally, I always thought Robert Alford was a massive liability for us. If Oliver can step up and just be "pretty good," I think the defense is going to help win us some ball games.
If Matt Ryan throws 3 picks, and we can still beat Philadelphia, the silver lining is that our guys made plays on the ball as well. Hopefully Ryan cuts down on those mistakes, and we can start firing on all cylinders.

other than the really bad INTs (I think one might have been bad luck although still a poorly thrown ball), my biggest disappointment once again is the nonexistant running game. Ito showed some things but still only ran it 4 times. There were at least two instances where Devonta got absolutely blown up at least 5 yards behind the LOS. How the hell does that happen? (rhetorical question because I know that it's due to shitty OL play)

Brandon Graham was a scary man last night. He was lighting up our OL.

If there is anything to be encouraged about it is our defense. They played very well considering how bad our O was. Wentz is a tough QB to bring down, I think a lot of those pressures are sacks against most teams. I still question our overall philosophy/packages a lot of the time but we have some talented players.
