Need a big L against arizona.

Yea just realized they were up next. Getting an L this weekend would be huge and would AT LEAST put us at #3. If SF and the Raiders could sneak in a win, we're looking at a legit shot at #1.

We got Carolina and TB for the final 2 games and the three of us collectively suck. We just need to go 1-2 down the homestretch and we should get a top 3 pick. Go 0-3 and I think we could get #1.

Damn...so Julio is having a monster season and we stll only have 4 wins. Would it be fiscally responsible to sign him to another big deal, or is there a chance that the Falcons realize that they have so many more holes to fill and pass on offering him a contract?

Is Bosa currently the consensus #1?

No. Love JJ, but he's gotta go.

Didn't we just sign him to an extension?!

As for who I want Atlanta to take, I'm not sure if we need Dline help or Oline help more. I'd be content with Bosa but he's probably gone at #1. I think either Quinnen Williams (DT) or Jonah Williams (OLine) are more feasible if we're at #3 or #4 in the draft.
Both just happen to be from Bama so I'm good with either!

don't look now but we are only 1 game out from the group of teams that are tied at 3 wins for the top draft spot lol.

lose to the Cardinals and we jump them. I don't know how the tiebreaker would work with teams like the 49ers and the Raiders if they happen to win another game.

I thought we had the #4 pick but I think we actually hold the #5 pick. It's based on record and then the tie breakers go to SOS, which is kinda weird.

So right now, it should be:
#1) 49ers 3-10 (.485)
#2) Cardinals 3-10 (.515)
#3) Raiders 3-10 (.565)
#4) Jets 4-9 (.482)
#5) Falcons 4-9 (.524)
#6) Jags 4-9 (.541)

Yeah, i saw that the tiebreaker went to strength of schedule, but the site I was looking at didn't specify whether it was worst SOS or hardest SOS. If you are looking for the worst team, you'd think it would be that the team with the easiest strength of schedule would get the top pick. I couldn't find anything to clarify so I'll take your word for it.

So it looks like the top pick is very much a longshot, but we are in the mix for a very very nice pick. All aboard the tank tank!

Definitely. What's weird is all the mathmatical combinations which starts to make my head hurt. A win over Arizona would hurt but barely move the needle on the SOS value since they're bad. However, a loss to Arizona would be perfect for record and SOS and really lower ours while not really moving the needle for Arizona's SOS since we also suck.
But if we had to go 1-2 over the next 3 weeks, winning against Arizona would be our best bet since they're the worst team.

We REALLY need to lose to CAR and TB. It's all a cluster. Going 0-3 is our best bet and it looks like this team is fully capable of that since we look terrible.

If we lose this shite in the last 5 minutes....

The only positive is it probably gives us a top 10 pick in the 2019 draft.

Unbelievable. That kick bumped us down from #6 to #12-14. And gives us a harder schedule next year

Yeah I wouldn't have been sad if we lost. It was more of the way it happened-- we were up by 11 with 5 min left and gave up the lead, only to win it on a last second field goal. That's going to drop us about 5-8 spots I believe.

Pathetic. We dropped 7 spots because we can’t do anything right

Yeah we're pick 14.

I've seen mock drafts with us taking Rashan Gary, Dexter Lawrence, or Christian Wilkins.

All of them have us taking a d-lineman.

Why can't Julio just keep his current contract which he signed (2 years left I believe), instead of wanting to renege on it? If he wants more, then I hope the Falcons don't cave in. If the Falcons do cave in, what is stopping any other player they sign from wanting to get more money with several years left on their contract?

I'd rather spend any extra money on shoring up the oline and dline. It would be different if we didn't have such big needs on the LOS and could easily burn some cash, but that is not the case.
