Yah the Falcs are building some real momentum now going into next season. Bodes well for Falcs fans in 2020 and into the playoffs of early 2021.

The NFL is a light switch league.

I’ve always said that if you’ve got: a top-flight QB, a balanced offense, a defense good on third downs, and are insanely disciplined, you’ve always got a shot.

If the Falcons can get serious about running the damn football, and get to where we were with Reeves and the early years of Smith on penalties, we can compete for Super Bowls.

The thing about the Falcons since the bye is... the games they are winning, they aren’t flukes. We were the clear better team against New Orleans, San Fran, Carolina x2, and Jacksonville.

The only puzzling game was Tampa.

Health is a major factor next year. If Lindstrom, McGary, Mack, and Matthews all stay healthy, we are in good shape.

One thing Ive actually always liked about the Dimitroff/Quinn tandem is, they draft insanely well. I mean, virtually always. There are Peria Jerry/Sam Baker folks hanging around in these draft classes.

Neal, Jarett, DeBo, Hooper, Campbell, Takk, Lindstrom, McGary, Ollison, etc... a lot of really good players have come out these drafts.

I think Quinn really fricked up by taking on too much this season on defense. I do think we’ve righted the ship on that end of the call.

Personally, if we had retained Sark, I think we’d have been no worse than 4-4 at the first half, and play for a playoff Birth this Sunday.

NFL margin of error is low. It’s why we’ve seen Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers have consecutive seasons without playoff appearances. It’s also why they can literally turn it around and be hunting Lombardi’s in a year’s time.

I don't think Quinn has the ability or self-awareness to make the changes needed. The common themes for all of his teams are: undisciplined on defense, under performing offense, inability to score TDs, head scratching coaching/game management decisions... I mean the dude is like a laughing stock among the analysts for his decision making in key situations. Pardon My Take as an example has a running joke of him kicking FGs when it absolutely makes no sense to kick a fg. The 49ers, while a great win, also showed a team that still hasn't learned how to play disciplined. IMO it was a shining example of why we needed to move on from Quinn. The team managed to beat a great 49ers team and themselves without any coaching help. He simply doesn't put the team in the best situation to win and we rarely make adjustments during the game.
